737NGX vs 747-400 vs JS4100 FPS

Featured Replies

I would highly recommend the MD-11 as others here have. Its one of the best planes for FSX. The B744s pit is very similar to the 737 ng, while the MD-11 is totally different. Its a joy to fly. You can of course fly it on shorter routes than the 12 hour long hauls (but I suspect you already knew that since you mentioned the B744)

I will consider the J41 and the MD-11. May even get both, which is probably what I will do. The 737NGX was my first NGX so I was worried about FPS, but the now I know that my system can handle the 737NGX I want to buy more PMDG!Aaron G.

I have to say that outside of the NGX, the MD-11 is the best out there and if it had all the new features that went into the NGX, then it would be a tough choice for me if i had to choose only one.

I own both and I like both. The NGX seems to be giving me slightly better fps. The J41 is a lightweight simulation when compared to NGX, like no failures, but I believe all systems are simulated and the manual is very very good. For short flights under 45 minutes it is still my favorite airplane. I must admit I am a bit biased since I love turboprops biggrin.png

+1 for the MD-11.Although i love the NGX and have bought the model extensions, the PMDG MD-11 is in my opinion, the pinnacle of flight sim perfection.

On my sim rig (post SP1 NGX), it looks like I'm getting frames on par with the J41, or slightly better (at least smoother, read as 'more consistent'). The 744 is a lot more of a frame hog than both the J41 and NGX.

Thanks all for the replies.@Aaron G. - You won't be sorry about getting the JS4100, just don't forget to unfeather those props or you'll never get them started... Whistle.gif
