I am a new user and I have installed all the files (apart from Antarctica) including the 'Patches' folder, which is above all the others. I have placed them below ORBX entries but above the standard ones as per recommendations. I admit that I'm not that sure what the patches folder does. I followed the instructions to the letter but I'm not sure if I have to copy the contents of the Patches subfolders into the scenery folders. The instructions state that for new users don't do it, so I didn't. Now every time I launch P3d 3.1 I have an error saying: SCENERY.CFG error. Could not find scenery Area.131's local scenery directory: H:\FreeMesh\Patches\SCENERY I am then asked if I wish to unload it. I am puzzled as there is no scenery folder in the patches folder, just area sub folders. I've clearly misinterpreted something incorrectly. Any ideas?

I use FS2Crew RAAS with my PMDG MD-11 in FSX but i didn't realise it should have its own profile. Mine works fine anyway.

If i remember rightly Morten; when i had cause to reinstall the MD-11 a few months ago, the installer only asked for the order number rather than a licence key. Richard

I should think it would. I can load flight plans to the NGX and MD-11 from FSC so i should think their latest and greatest would have the ability to do the same.

Good advice. I always go by the old saying of never put your aircraft anywhere where your brain hasn't been 5 minutes previously.

On the odd occasion, my FSX opens briefly in the same way but then instantly switches to the centre of the screen so it's never been an issue for me.No idea what causes it.

At British Airways Virtual we always use a cost index of 0 for climb and 28 for cruise.I believe that is the case with real world aircraft at BA.If i have a tailwind for most of the way, i usually use a CI of 0 all the way.

+1 for the MD-11.Although i love the NGX and have bought the model extensions, the PMDG MD-11 is in my opinion, the pinnacle of flight sim perfection.

It's a simple thing to create your own panel state.It took me 2 minutes to create and save exactly the one you want.

That was sorted in Hotfix 4.

The 737 NGX is now a highly polished product after SP1.I couldn't help myself and had to buy the NGX 6700 extensions as well.Just done a quick Vatsim flight, EGKK-LOWS and all is perfect.Very happy.Now where's that 777?

How about trying Hotfix 4?Or maybe wait for SP1, just around the corner.

The site is partially up now, but with SQL error messages.Still can't log in to book a flight though.

The PMDG MD-11 is an awsome aircraft and is significantly superior to the 747 which i never fly any more.I even think the MD-11 looks better than the NGX and it is certainly easier to fly.Just my opinion.

I bought the 737NGX today. The installation went smoothly as did my first flight, EGKK-EHAM.I believe the FPS are better than the MD-11 as it seems to be smoother to me.Excellent aircraft.
