December 4, 201114 yr X-plane 10 looks really stunning, and I'm always interested in trying out new things in the FS world - HOWEVER (and this is a big however in my world), I find the lack of high-end aircrafts developed for Xplane rather disappointing..Be not disappointed! http://www.x-aviatio...?products_id=68http://store01.prost...e/Detail?no=290Not at 100% the level of a PMDG, but quite complex neverthless.Do you guys see any chance of add-ons in the same depth as e.g. 737NGX for FSX coming for Xplane in the future?I'm personally 99% certain of that.Marco "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
December 4, 201114 yr Do you guys see any chance of add-ons in the same depth as e.g. 737NGX for FSX coming for Xplane in the futureWithout a doubt. The only question is when. IXEG is evidence that some people are giving it a go...and if they succeed, then perhaps they'll do other aircraft, but it wouldn't surprise me to see 1.0 - 1.5 years between products for them after this first one....they can probably reuse a lot of their code base and x-Plane development is a bit faster than MSFS development in my opinion and that works in it's favor, but very few developers are exploiting that. I think the market will probably wait and see what comes of the IXEG effort and if it's as good as it looks, then I believe much more interest in x-plane development will ensue but it still remains to be seen who jumps on board. In the x-plane developer world (and I know most everybody), I'd say that IXEG and the JRollon crew with Philipp are the only teams really capable of putting out the uber-systems simulations at the moment. There's a few heavy efforts going on at x-plane.org, but as nice as they are, I do not think those will satisfy the palettes of those used to PMDGs systems.I will say that when it comes to "top level" systems...that PMDGs name seems to be the only one mentioned and it does make me wonder if there really is any other game in town. that being said, if PMDG as one company can satisfy the market need for "deep" simulations withing MSFS, then perhaps all x-plane needs is one company.....and time.

December 5, 201114 yr Guys - I gotta say you put a smile on my face... After seeing and reading, I think that FSX is going to the graveyard... Not that it won't be played anymore - probably for many years to come, but the succeeder - Flight - will be on ground 0 when it comes out, while Xplane will be leaps ahead due to more backward compabilty vs. FSX and Flight...I really look foreward to following Xplane take the front scene in FS ;)Mas Martin Jensen

It's gathering momentum every day.
