December 6, 201114 yr Just want to know because there has been a few posts about this and i for one am interested in how many are interested in the alteration.
December 7, 201114 yr I think it's a limitation of the FSX sound engine.PMDG has a mix here of their own little sound engine running some things and utilizing the legacy FSX sound engine for other things. I think it's difficult for either to really jive when you start switching around viewpoints and such. Patrick Houghton
December 7, 201114 yr MS really needs to step their game up. If they're going to launch a game, they better support it just like they support Windows for a good +20 years after launch. (OK, maybe not that much for a FS game but you understand, don't you?)Hopefully they do something about it. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
December 7, 201114 yr I prefer to stay in the cockpit as an enhancement to my flight experience and don't care about views or sounds outside of such. Jeff Johnson (RWS)
December 7, 201114 yr if you compare the pmdg soundset to another soundset like TSS 737NG you will notice that the PMDG soundset is much quieter and more "internal" sounding when viewing from the wings or engines etc. I believe PMDG has written about this before that they have the capabilites to change the sounds like this. Magic if you ask me
December 7, 201114 yr I have been assigned the left seat in the cockpit. I find it really difficult to fly from seat 15C. Lol. The only time the cabin interests me is during replays of my greasers! Honestly could care less about cabin sounds. "To most the sky is the limit but to me it's home" Rick Harms (CYVR) i7 [email protected] (for now) asus p6t v2, 6gb ocz 1600 CL7 ram. December 7, 201114 yr I would say, i'd like to hear that deep bass rumble when you throttle up or down through 40-55% a little bit louder, a bit off topic and not a complaint, it just sounds propper realistic and I LOVE IT! Chris Howard

They abandoned FSX long ago along with the layoff of the Aces team which had developed FSX.Microsoft is not going to change a single bit in FSX.In case you've been living under a rock, MS will come up with a new "flying game" to replace the classic flight simulator franchise. It's called "Flight".It remains to be seen whether this new product will satisfy the needs of hardcore aviation enthusiasts. Dave P. Woycek
December 7, 201114 yr It remains to be seen whether this new product will satisfy the needs of hardcore aviation enthusiasts.I seriously doubt it will, Flight is going to be an arcade game based on Hawaii scenario only.

Yeah i know which sound you mean it's just loads of rumble on take off.. I love the PMDG sound myself.. I do how ever think that the engine fans on the forward wing-view looking at the engines are far to loud.. I have been having alook in my own time and have sorted that out.. It is merely personal choice though all round... :)Steve
December 7, 201114 yr I do agree with you m8, although superb they are a little on the loud side. Chris Howard
