December 7, 201114 yr Maybe there is an answer and maybe there isn't one. The attached screenshot is from a EHAM-KSEA flight, It indicates the brakes on the left have a lower temperature than those on the right. Now this plane has been airborne for almost 8 hours so anything related to the taxi and takeoff would be long gone. It has been this way for almost two years on every flight no matter what the cruise altitude is, OAT, or wind direction and speed. Dooes anyone know why? Just curious. Thank youMichael Cubine Michael Cubine
December 7, 201114 yr It's probably by design, if you've ever seen simulated aircraft displaying the exact values they make it unrealistic IMO. Besides, the values aren't really that different. \Robert Hamlich/
December 8, 201114 yr In my opinion the MD11 brake temperatures are quite unrealistic. For example, Doing 5 RTOs after V1 speed still doesn't give me brake overheat.... Manfred G. Ships are cooler that you think.
December 8, 201114 yr They're unrealistic because the brake temps were not modeled to the full extent. This isn't new news though and has been said by the developers many times. I've never looked as it as a limitation though since as the release of the MD11 what addon this advanced honestly did model that? I often looked more at what it could do and was impressed with that, in other words, what heat was picked up slowly dissipated. Or am I thinking of the J41? In any case, each new aircraft brought on new improvements. Maybe someday after the newer aircraft are done, they'll do an SP or an all new model. By that time though, we might all be using a new sim. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
December 11, 201114 yr Is the Configuration Page available on 2D panel only? I tried to access it last night but it would not come up on the VC Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
December 12, 201114 yr The SD (Systems Display) controller is rear of the throttles. This changes what SD page is displayed. Steve Caffey
December 12, 201114 yr Thanks Steve, in my desire to squeeze some more frame rates I switched off the First Officer's panels, and that switched off the SD as well! Never mind, got it working again, thanks for the help! Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
