February 11, 200422 yr I figured out the wording," [fltsim]alias=Beech_King_Air_350sound" But beware of making the ini. sound quality change! I went from zero to four, an I got a CTD when entering my sound menu in CF9.
February 11, 200422 yr In FS9, sound quality changes should always be made through in-game settings IMO. I don't think there are anymore undocumented sound settings.
February 11, 200422 yr There is ONLY one aircraft with Turboprop sounds -- that is the FANDA Dash8-300!!!!!!!!!!!!! Try it -- you will like it! But the sounds cannot be transferred to any other a/cBarry
February 11, 200422 yr Is it possible to explain what modifications have to be done to achieve prop RPM to control prop sound? I'm very interested in Meridian modifications.ThanksJos
February 11, 200422 yr My latest updates to my turboprop sounds were actually inspired by someone who e-mailed me about those Fanda sounds. Apparently they are the first to use such a technique.
February 11, 200422 yr Well, there is :) I was surpriced to see the SDK not mentioning the new bits for groundroll sounds. Adding in new bits you get support for Bituminous, Macadam, Planks, Bricks and whatnot runway surface type. Yet the default aircraft, as well as "updated" SDK, only uses those found in FS2002.
February 11, 200422 yr Thank you pancreas, I love your sounds. I think you have done an amazing job and they really are realistic. To me, the Kingair and 1900 are close enough. I also appreciate the answer about the cockpit volume.Adam [email protected]http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpghttp://eaglesoftdg1.com/images/PS1.jpg
February 11, 200422 yr I was referring to the FS9.cfg. But yeah, the Sound section of the SDK hasn't been updated at all. Aren't the Exit sounds new and undocumented as well? I don't recall them present in any form in FS2K2. IMO, all this pales in comparison to MS' most grievous error in this department, the butchering of stereo sound.
February 11, 200422 yr Yes, but you have to be familiar with the layout and functionality of the Sound.CFG file. Have you read the Sound section of the Aircraft Container SDK?
February 12, 200422 yr All sound sets work like that...there isn't any other way. You can either have the clips as jet_whine running off of N1 RPM or combustion running off of N2 RPM.
February 12, 200422 yr Thank you, what an improvement for both the King Air and the B1900! :-wavehttp://fsgateway.com/frank/fs9paibeta.jpg
February 12, 200422 yr As far I understood there are several sections. Each section points to different events (start, ground roll etc) and/or different sound part like the engine can be decomposed in several sub-sounds. Each sub sound is made by a linked list that adds several wav. The only part that is obscure is the amplitude envelope the SDK says that is linear in amplitude what is somewhat strange due to the way the human ear reacts to sound amplitude.Jos
February 12, 200422 yr Could you please list the files I need to download to get the proper sounds into the new Beech 1900D. Thank you very much, Howard Jetline Systems: Intel 8th Gen Core i7 8700K (4.8GHz Overclock); GTX 1080 Ti; LG Curved UltraWide 3440x1440 Monitor .

February 12, 200422 yr >But the sounds cannot be transferred to any other a/c Could those sounds be aliased to the Beech 1900? Howard Jetline Systems: Intel 8th Gen Core i7 8700K (4.8GHz Overclock); GTX 1080 Ti; LG Curved UltraWide 3440x1440 Monitor .
