December 20, 201114 yr Since the release of the NGX, the old Queen has been left in the hanger, system wise she is still a winner after all these years, but texture wise I must say she doesn't look as good. Same with the Level-d's beauty, the textures are just too outdated. We do need a quality heavy urgently!! Z. C

December 20, 201114 yr But McPhat's doesn't change the VC texture does it?You didn't say you were concerned with the VC textures.I second Sekstifire. Give the MD11 a go if you feel you're up to it. Michael Bentz
December 20, 201114 yr Since the release of the NGX, the old Queen has been left in the hanger, system wise she is still a winner after all these years,...I would also second the PMDG 744 Queen for an NGX-style update, both texture- and systems-wise (I want 100% of the systems, including all the circuit breakers!)For PMDG it's "easy money": Everyone that flew and enjoyed the current version would go for the enahnced version!Or perhaps they are waiting for Flight before going for a remake of the Queen?Cheers,- jahman.

December 20, 201114 yr PMDG 744 Queen is to limited for real world routes .... heavy, yes....... 744, no

December 20, 201114 yr I really would like to see a quality rendition of the airbus! We are absolutely flooded with boeing simulations.!!!

The 744X and 800 variants released are still pretty good, and work fine. I think I can hold out till PMDG finishes their 777. Luckily, the NGX has laid the groundwork and systems software for all future planes. So that the next plane in the assembly line will be able to move to the flight line faster than faster. :) Derek RogersPC Specs: Intel i7-4790K 4.6GHz : 16GB RAM : GTX 970 4GB
December 20, 201114 yr PMDG 744 Queen is to limited for real world routesWe have some airlines in Europe (Transaero, British Airways, KLM, Lufthnansa, Cargolux, AirBridgeCargo, etc) flying 744 on quite short routes (2-6 hours). And yes, I would also love to see the PMDG Queen redone. And something tells me I will (FSX only though, I guess).I really would like to see a quality rendition of the airbus! We are absolutely flooded with boeing simulationsTrue, true. If you are FSX only, have hopes for FSLabs who are working on a 320. Or give a try to Aerosoft's Airbus X Advanced when it is out.Or hope for AirSimmer to fully wake up (I'm using their A320 in FS9 with huge satisfaction). I am sure PMDG will NOT make an airbus.
December 20, 201114 yr I believe PMDG have stated in the past that an accurate simulation of an airbus is not possibledue to the constraints in FSX.Ron Ron Service .
December 20, 201114 yr Did they state this before or after a member of theirs left, formed his own company and started working on a Concorde (done!) and now an Airbus?By the way, I think the words accurate, tested by real pilots and close to the real thing are the all time catchphrases of this small sim business. Maybe we should add officially licensed and then look at ourselves in the most honest way. As long as it doesn't CTD all the time and comes with nice landing lights, we are ok and the sales are too. ^_^I personally think that nice and current heavies are already available in FSX and if we wait for certain companies to finish the next thing, we may actually miss some of them.Where did the thread on the 747 texture update go by the way? There was a guy offering his talent to enhance what may look a bit outdated.
