Monitor upgrade vastly improves FSX performance

Featured Replies

Even in my 30's Santa still visits. I got a 27" Viewsonic monitor which was an upgrade from a 22" AOC. I have the Viewsonic in 1080 and man, my performance which I thought would get worse has actually gotten much better. I am getting about 15-20 extra frames and this is going from lower to higher resolution. I wonder what could cause that, so counter intuitive. What an unbelievable difference this monitor makes in the whole experience visually and otherwise.

Lorentz syncrophasers are known to invert the time-space relation of video data, resulting in slowdowns as video array size decreases. In fact, if you were to put an infinitely large monitor on that system with the LP active, you would get infinite frame rates...in fact maybe even a tad more than infinite with that Ion Injector.

There's very strong evidence for this, following recent experiments at CERN with the neutrino, as noted in last month's issue of MacLeans:-http://www2.macleans...y/life/science/This means that TFT monitors may soon be replaced by FTL monitors.........Enjoy!Prosperous New Year Everyone. I think maybe the topic title should be changed to, "Higher res vastly improves FSX performance" :)Strange though isn't it? My graphics card does the same thing, dropping it below 1920x1080 actually makes things a bit slower.

You guys are cold, and on Christmas too! :LMAO:

looks like FSX love very very high resolution monitor..

Guys, a monitor can't improve FSX performance. Some graphics cards prefer higher resolutions, which is great. A monitor which supports those resolutions will obviously enable you to run FSX at those higher resolutions, but the monitor itself has nothing to do with how FSX performs.

This was actually not a joke. But it is funny none the less. I was averaging 10-18 fps and now it is 28-36. And all I changed was this monitor. I switched back to the AOC just to see and yup, lower performance. I don't know what to make of it but I am certainty not complaining. One could attribute this to the Schrimdler Thomsalfen effect when the screen size gets above the 1.0375 Jiggawat per decameter range.Cheers

How do you get the fans to spin backwards?

Cool, when the Snoopy scarf flaps in the breeze!
