Thanks airlinejets.Be careful about beta 8, I had 3 CTD in a row, reverted back to ver 7, sent a bug report, will wait a bit before trying again.

Donald,The updater will not load beta 8 for me, so I think they may have pulled it?

The testers will be saying to themselves - well at least it passed the compile test :)

You're probably lucky Jets. I reverted back to 7 so wasn't too big a deal. Scared me at first, but GoranM set me straight. Actually I am quite new to X-Plane. I started with version 9.5, so I still have a lot to learn.Version 7 has been quite stable for me. I can run it with a lot of options enabled. I can even run HDR rendering in it. I like the higher fps though so usually keep it off. It seemed to me that the banking problem that was prevalent was helped quite a bit. Not all of it, but I don't have to put near as much aileron trim in as I had to before ver7. all in all I'm pretty happy with it. No one makes scenery for the area of the country I live in, Oklahoma, too flat. I've seen on some maps detailing scenery, there are files all around me, but not one for Oklahoma. Take that back, I did find one for Tulsa, but wasn't too impressed. LOL

I've had no problems with Beta 8 though I haven't tested it extensively. Out of curiosity, how do you roll back to an earlier version? I know X-Plane veterans recommend having a second install of X-Plane for testing new updates, but I haven't set one up yet.
