I liked the "To fly the plane, you can use a mouse, or the keyboard, or the X-BOX controller --- OR EVEN A JOYSTICK !!!"

FSX runs pretty smooth on decent hardware (eg. Sandy Bridge). Maybe not fully maxed out and everything, but very nicely.

Is it me or is the first monitor on the left showing a different picture of Flight?Look at the first monitor when the vid. start...

Yeah, that was the first thing I thought: why didn't the guy focus on the left screen instead of on the right??? That looked a lot more interesting. You can see on another posted movie that there are two screens with Flight, so the left one definitely is Flight indeed.

It is MS Flight, it is the ICON A5, it is Hawaii and it's looking fast because it's a zoomed in view from outside. :( Looks quite ok, right...? As said, I wish the guy with the camera had focused on that screen.I really don't understand that they focus on that arcade game so much, also because it has you flying low (which never looks good) and the area where that game is looks boring... Why don't they show of the mountains, the airport, the shadows, etc. from a normal flying height...? Such a shame... There is so much more to be seen...

High speed must be due to high field of view. I am very disappointed with the level of maturity shown in many of these Flight threads - really expect more from a supposedly intellectual crowd. Funny thing is, one of those kids in the video could become an airline pilot some day; would you still be cracking jokes at them?

Hmmm...liking the checklists. The UI looks a little jazzy, but I guess that's the way these days..the possibility for addons/complex DLC/more complicated "stuff" looks like it is in there..When can people start really talking about its possibilities without getting sued over an NDA?

And not everyone has the time or inclimation to search the forums for this particular Answer. I'm sorry to trouble you with such an annoying and (apparently) pointless question!..a simple non-condecending reply would have sufficed, but then this is AVSIM forums, I suppose...I don't really care all that much, I was just commenting on another posted video..I'm not a Flight ######, nor do I really care whether it's any good as I'll probably buy it anyway, as I have to try all new flight sims, good or not :)I have to say, though (and please don't all jump on me with your interpretations of my reply!) it does look very like FSX with crappy clouds, and for all the guff about speed/smoothness/re-coded engine etc it isn't very smooth! Perhaps it isn't a very good recording, but then FSX' recordings are a bit rubbish, too..surely they've fixed the flight video module?And it's free to start with...Will there be advertisments in it?

Wow!!! That's awesome! Love those checklists!!! One thing is clear: we can forget about Aerofly FS being a serious contender: you can't switch a single knob in that one. I like how the checklists highlight the relevant items! Awesome vid! Pity it's shot in the dark and not with all settings at maximum (I wonder why).You would say this video should silence some MS Flight haters... :wink:Clouds looked odd though... I've seen better in screenshots.

Sorry, I did not want to come across like that, I was referring to some post I made about the involvement of 3RD party developers working with MS.Severals dev. have been playing with Flight for some time, so I'm asking you a question (not trying to be a smart a$$ here) including all of you reading my post....How many dev. does it take to cover Hawaii with HD sceneries including ground, airports, boats, cars, +++) before you run out of land or space???Please tell me (by looking at what you saw already) why in hell will you need a system with 6GB of rams and Window 7 64-bit to run Flight, so is Flight beta the whole package?

With all of the negativity on this forum (and I have joked along with ppl as well - no outright hating, as I am in IT and long used to MS's ways and am not an MS hater - where would all of our beloved FSX installs be without M$ and Bill Gate$??)I can actually see it flying now (not in a pre-prepared vid) and it looks ok..I think for a while I will continue to fly my NGX through REX2 clouds across an ORBX/GEX landscape, as afaiac, it suits me down to the ground, or even up to the skies (and it's taken me years and £££ to get to this point!!) but I will certainly buy Flight, as it's another Flight sim..and as such, pretty much the only thing I "play" on my beast of a PC

You wont buy Flight, it will be free. Then you can buy M$ quality addons such as small regions and planes for it.
