No Track IR...?

Featured Replies

I remember reading somewhere someone saying MS Flight doesn't support Track IR 'out of the box'. Is that true? I always said I won't fly in FSX without Track IR... Now of course I will try MS Flight even if it doesn't support Track IR, but it would be a big disappointment having to fly without it... It's almost something I can't imaging enjoying...!If it IS true and MS Flight doesn't support Track IR, my next question is: will the creators of Track IR be able to make it work with MS Flight without an SDK...? (I haven't got the faintest clue how these things work, so I beg your pardon if this is a stupid question. :( )

HelloYou are correct, no TrackIrOr any other cockpit hardware such as Gofight, Engravity, VRinsight ect.But you only need a mouse, so don't worry.

Certainly not "out of the box" for TrackIR implementation in MS Flight. But SmartNav which is a mouse alternative can be probably used, but it's more expensive than TrackIR :Money Eyes:Pierre LFBE

Hopefully there will be a TrackIR-software update and profile created for FLIGHT by Naturalpoint soon after its released.

HelloWithout access to an SDK that may hard to do.Why would MS want to help Naturalpoint with internal details of Flight! when it has its own competing Kinect technology ?The latest TrackIr software already has Flight! in its game list so maybe they have spoken with MS

The question is: does Naturalpint need an SDK...? I think a lot of games work with Track IR while not having an SDK at all...?

HelloWithout an SDK you need the cooperation of the developer.Microsoft have their own solution to movement detection they will want you to buy, what is in it for them ?
Track IR is/will be supported.
Hello StephenIs that your opinion or have you been told this directly ?, I have searched all through the Beta Forum and can find no answer from MS regarding TrackIR support and nothing on the Naturalpoint forum.

Microsoft Kenetic. They want to sell their stuff! Thats all obvious making trackIR compatable would be cutting off their right arm. Flight is all about maximum profitabilty.
