February 7, 201214 yr Hello all. Could use some advice if anyone is able to give me a definitive answer. I am considering purchasing Radar Contact to add to the realism factor. I currently have FS2 for the PMDG 747, J4100 and the Level D 767. And hopefully soon the 737ngx. Will these two products function together without conflict? If not, can someone suggest an ATC addon which will give me the realism I want? And I don't want VoxATC. Tried it, voices are lame, to say the least. Thank you for any input you can give. February 7, 201214 yr Bummer. All I use is voice.Maybe, Im not understanding. When I say Voice, I mean you can't use FS2crew Voice editions and speak to Radar Contact 4. YOu can use the FS2crew Voice editions, but most use the number keys, buttons to interface with RC4. You can't simulate VoxATC with it.
February 7, 201214 yr I think he was just looking for an ATC program that has no conflicts with FS2Crew. That's easy, if VoxATC is not an option, the only two left are Radar Contact and PFE 2000.Both work without conflicts with FS2Crew as far as I know. You can have the occasional stepping on each other in a way the FS2Crew FO speaks at the same time as the ATC program FO/controller as the programs are not aware of each other, but I never found that a big problem.

February 8, 201214 yr Author Thanks to all for the input. I think, however, I'll hold off for now. Until I can actually observe Radar Contact and FS2 working together to see just how well they compliment each other I'd rather not spend not only $50 for R.C. but additional funds for a decent flight planning utility which will allow me to import flight plans. I've checked YouTube but as of yet there are no videos showing both together. Did just purchase Trakir5 so for now I've got something new to goof around with. Thanks again everyone. February 9, 201214 yr FS2Crew works with all 3rd party ATC programs (your computer won't blow up), but there is no direct integration with them.Is there any chance of you looking into integrating voice control for Radar Contact (or other 3rd party ATC) into current or upcomming FS2Crew versions? It would add tons to the feel of realism to be able to talk to ATC too..... Mikael Stockfors Staff reviewer at Mutley's Hangar

February 15, 201412 yr Sorry to dredge up an old topic, but I just got FS2Crew for the NGX. I've had it a while for the 767. I'm also a RC4 user. I don't use RC4 with voice commands, just to handle comms with the ATC. It works great with FS2Crew for the 767. For some reason, I'm not hearing all the RC4 ATC commands with the NGX. I hear some, but critical commands like "Line up and wait", or "Cleared for Takeoff" are silent. I hear the RC4 Copilot and FS2Crew just fine (and FS2Crew responds to voice commands well, too.) Any ideas why this might be happening in the NGX but not the 767? Tom Loy "Sometimes it ain't the speed but the direction."
February 17, 201412 yr Hi! This should not have anything with FS2Crew to do. If RC don't tell you to line up or give you clerance for take-off it's probably because it dont know where you are. Can be a problem with the AFCAD for that airport. You should run "makerunways" (included in RC) to make sure all your sceneries is up to date and synched with RC, go to the RC-forum for more support. I have been running FS2Crew and RC together for long time and have never noticed any problems using them together. Regards Johnny Johnny Holmgren
February 19, 201412 yr I was using the default FSX sceneries for this flight. However, I added some sceneries afterwords, ran the makerunways for RC (and FSC9, and...), rebooted the PC, and now they are both working perfectly together. I can't say for sure it was the makerunways that fixed it, but it was a good tip to keep in mind should it happen again. Thanks! Tom Loy "Sometimes it ain't the speed but the direction."
