Which to twin/single prop to buy

Featured Replies

After tinkering around with some of the heavies mainly Pmdg md-11 and 737ngx aswell as captain sim's 767 I'm looking to buy something I can hop around regional airports with, I'm not looking for a single seater Cessna or Piper, more a twin prop if possible or twin engine aircraft if possible. I've read that aersoft a re-designing the Dh-6 otter and until then I'd like something along the same sort of lines if anyone can reccommend one? Many Thanks Lewis

If you are looking for something with decent STOL performance then I would suggest either the RealAir Turbine Duke or the Aerosoft Bronco - of the two I would say the Duke is the better aircraft, but as a scenery viewing platform the Bronco is not going to be beaten (as long as you don't care about an Autopilot) .. .. ..G

The Flight1 BN2 Islander is a great twin prop!

You really ought to give the Flight1 Cessna 182TC a hard look. Turbo-charged to increase performance and therefore speed, high wings to allow excellent sight seeing. Killer panel too. But if you really need a twin, the Duke is the only way to go IMHO. but no, repeat no, looking down for scenery. Oh wait, there's my BN2 Islander!! See the problem??

Another vote fr the BN Islander, very simple but very good. Or if you want something more complex then maybe the J41 if you are already familiar with PMDG and know what to expect.

The Real Air Turbine Duke has the advantage of being able to get in and out of the samllest of smallest fields, while being able to cruise at 300 KTAS.Cheers,- jahman.
