Anyone have a successful one??... so far I've tried a few variations on my FSX profile and am getting serious stuttering and odd issues when the viewing plane is level with clouds... example of that:glitch.jpg

Ryan,There is an MS Flight profile in Nvidia Inspector 1.9.5.10. I tried it and all seems well. That is odd that you would have stuttering, because much lower computers seem to run it smoothly. Is there perhaps something else happening in your system at the same time?Sorry to be of not much help.Kind regards,

Ryan,How do you make screenshots while in MS Flight? I tried last last a few times but was having so much fun achieving my 'Crash 5' Achievement Medal I forgot to get back to it.Ray

Keyboard key "V" is for screenshot in Flight. As to stutters, I have experienced it. But I have not nailed it yet. When it happened (stuttering) I had changed the Nvidia Inspector profile to limit the fps to 30. I don't think Flight liked that at all.It even produced blurries. (in thunderstorms, rain and with the rv6 at 170kts). I have since reverted to the default Flight profile and everything is nice and smooth.

Hi Ryan,You don't mention your system. What CPU and GPU are you running? I have reported a stuttering problem in detail in another thread and the lower I make my settings, the worse it gets. Another user elsewhere on the net reported stutter on a state of the art Core i7 with state of the art AMD (mine is a Core i7 970 and GTX580, so whilst not state of the art, would still be deemed a reasonably powerful machine).I was also wondering if you could do a quick test for me. Do you get the stutter if flying the Icon with moving map on the instrument panel turned on?i genuinely believe there is an issue with this game in that the more powerful the machine, the more likely it is to stutter.

I stop the stuttering by setting the shadows to High instead of Maxium...All other settings are on the highest possible

I changed the profile for flight (which was essentially set to application controlled) to what I've got set for FSX. Notes:1)8xSQ was a baaad idea... that really made the stutters worse. a) For some odd reason when zooming out in the VC the game became more smooth (completely opposite of FSX - the more viewing area the worse performance)2) Still really missing my toe brakes and TIR :sad:3) I think I'll go back to default profile for Flight in Inspector...

Specs are in sigg lol... FWIW I run max everything except I changed the shadows to highSetting to high helped a little (though hard to tell). I seem to get the most stutters during the challenges... like the one where you fly the A5 deep into the valley through the rings... The trees must not like my AA settings...Also, is anyone else completely annoyed by the backwards POV hat switch operation??Untitled2-10.jpg

I am wondering what benefit a profile would accomplish without knowing what to set the graphics detail settings in UI?Bob

Just to clarify, I'm talking about nvidia inspector profiles, not the in game settings. You basically set those to max if you've got a SB system... Then the inspector profile will override AA and AF settings (and increase them) and change other settings that aren't in Flight.

That's what I thought at first but I was thinking about FSX and "Not Checking" the antialiasing option. I just was not sure how successful the profile override would do if anything at all.Bob

From an IQ standpoint, big improvement. Much less shimmering on distant buildings and trees... but for the moment I've switched back to default because the stutters are lessened and it still looks pretty good.
