Have you checked with Microsoft Support? This page covers virtual memory issues in both FS2004 and FSX:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892610John

Memory problems are almost always due to addon scenery, not your computer itself. Disable the sceneries you recently added one by one to discover the culprit. Try to do the same flight on the same day, same time as the problem occurs. There is a chance it might be AI a/c, so you culd start by turning AI off first, but i bet it is one of your sceneries. If you open task manager you can monitor the amount FS9 is using and it should keep on rising before a crash.Peter

Thanks again for replies, very much appreciated, I don't know if I'm technically minded enough to do the 3 gb switch but thanks anyway, I think I may have to try a few lower settings and see where I am after that for now, I just love the sceneries and more technical aircraft which is obviously the problem, I thank you all again and shall have to trying a few changes :(Cheers

Follow my advice and you will know for sure if it your computer or a roge scenery at fault. One little texture file is capable of throwing a massive spanner in the works in FS9....you need to find if that is the problem.

Hi thereNo I don't have that installed but I did put NL2000 on briefly but thought better of it as my computer is quite old, have fully deleted it so don't think that is an issue, still trying to work through this which is very annoyingRegardsKeemoosabi

I know sad really but I just want to fly my favourite planes and use realistic sceneries and any technical stuff goes straight over my head so to speak. If anyone can help I would be very grateful!!Hope to hear from someone soonRegardsKeemoosabi

It is likely it is one of those sceneries, but also a chance of a rogue AI texture.1. First establish a day/time/airport where you consistently get a crash. This is important.2. Then turn AI down to 0% and repeat the flight if you still get crash it is scenery.3. Disable scenery in "scenery library"...and restart FS9. Do this for both sceneries until you can establish if one...or both cause a crash...then report back. We will get you sorted.ps What if any AI do you use?

Hello againWell I tried a flight today and just as I began taxiing FS9 crashed again with Virtual memory problem, I restarted and turned down settings from top setting for density to next down and tried again and to my surprise I completed the flight??I will try again tomorrow and see what happens if I get the chance, I'm hoping it won't happen again but who knows??Just to let you know I use Ultimate traffic for FS9 and don't get me started with that program, can never update or change anything, not impressed, probably my computer again but really can't be bothered with UT!Thanks again for all the help very much appreciated,RegardsKeemoosabi
