An FS9 challenge with the latest offering from Microsoft.

Hi Tristan,I do question the purpose of this post in the FS9 forums. If you want to talk about giving Flight a go do it in the Flight forums. I would not go into the FSX forum or Flight forum talking about how good FS9 is and pushing my own opinion on them..I also know Dillon and know he is not a flamer or an instigator by any means however there is no way this thread is going to stay North of the border imho...To be fair, the OP is absolutely comparing night and day and a comparison between Flight (circa 2012) and FS9 (circa 2004) or even Flight and FSX is fruitless, they are all sims in their own rights but also very different in their own rights as well. Everyone has the right to use what they prefer but to go into the FS9 or FSX forums and start boasting about Flight is inappropriate IMHO. If you want to compare Flight to FSX or Flight to FS9 the primary purpose of your post is Flight and it should be made in the Flight forums...I would not walk into a Ferrari dealership to talk about Lamborghini, nor the FS9 or Flight forum to discuss FSX, nor the FSX or Flight forum to discuss FS9, nor the FSX or FS9 forum to discuss Flight....Just my humble .02-Paul
Hi PaulNothing humble about your ',02'. I think you made a very good point. The thrust of my train of thought was simply, I thought Dillon should have been treated with a little more respect. That's all.Regards.

Then one would also have to "purchase" scenery to allow one to fly from Hawaii to Las Vegas for example!vololiberista
HelloAfter collecting the requisite number of aerocaches you are teleported to Alaska

BTW, it's been "confirmed" that 1.2 million square miles of Alaska will be the next scenery package available.http://forum.avsim.net/topic/364923-5-new-teaser-screenshot-of-journey-to-alaska/http://forum.avsim.net/topic/364871-journey-to-alaska-pack-announced/Hope this helps,

FS9er's who can't even think about installing FSX need to try this, trust me... :(
I agree with the OP. I came back to the hobby last month and decided to use FS9 (FSX bogged me down terribly and drove me away - my desktop system is a 2007-era 3GHz dual core with 256Mb 8600GT. Flight chooses the lowest settings but runs great - like a souped-up fs9. Running both covers all bases.I can see people coming into the hobby with Flight and discovering FS9 for their "whole world" needs.
