March 5, 201214 yr I made an attempt to purchase an aircraft, the Maule Orion.I entered the Market Place, and attempted to buy creditsI entered the Payment options page, which asked me for personal information; name, address, etc.I could not enter this information correctly, as it had me entered as being in the USA, which is incorrect, and there was no option to change this, either in the Windows Live page or the XBox page.Windows Live should have got my location from my IP address, but obviously did not. Please, Microsoft, will you put this right? There are people living outside the USA who might want to buy stuff from you. Also, how can I rid myself of any connection with that stupid XBox connection?
March 5, 201214 yr How about trying to add 'PayPal' as payment method and buy the Maule directly, not with points?Might spare you some of the location related hassle.
March 5, 201214 yr I had the same problem, as XBOX is currently not supported in my country of residence. The workaround I found was buying MS Points via Amazon.com. They have an option to purchase MS Points as an online code - ready to be redeemed either via marketplace or within the game itself. Hell, they even have them discounted by 1 dollar (1600MS points for $18.99). It will also cost you a bit less since Amazon.com does not apply extra taxes, which Marketplace seems to do.

March 5, 201214 yr if you can buy from amazon, i recommend it, go with the download code version, i do not trust giving MS my credit card info just to buy points at this time since all the hackings and attacks against MS and the xbox 360 that happened last year -Raymond W PC Specs: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X - ASUS B550M-K - 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200Mhz - MSI 3070 TI Gaming X Trio

March 10, 201214 yr if you can buy from amazon, i recommend it, go with the download code version, i do not trust giving MS my credit card info just to buy points at this time since all the hackings and attacks against MS and the xbox 360 that happened last yearThanks for the reminder!I read this review: - "Instead of buying a points card from a retailer, I made the mistake of buying the points online from Microsoft through the Xbox. I used my credit card and bought 500 points. I got the email confirmation that I bought the points. I then used the points. So far so good.Over the next two days, four other Xbox charges totaling $30 mysteriously appeared on my credit card. Someone bought more points and a game subscription using my credit card info. I called Xbox Live support- their answer was "we don't give refunds." I explained that it's not a REFUND if my account is used fradulently. They still said no.Note that clearly the security leak was with them, as no other fraudulent charges appeared on my credit card...just Xbox charges.I then asked them to delete my credit card info from my Xbox Live account. They said they could not do this. I could not believe this! Given that someone had access to my credit card and they were unwilling to remove my credit card info, I had no choice but to cancel my credit card.My advice- buy the points from a trusted source like Amazon. Don't ever give Microsoft direct access to your credit card info. I hope this helps."--These experiences scare me from using my credit card at MS Market Place!!Need some more information/advice about DLC. (It's new to me). They have an option to purchase MS Points as an online code - ready to be redeemed either via marketplace or within the game itself.Shall I choose - "Xbox LIVE 1600 Microsoft Points [Online Game Code]"?http://www.amazon.co...s/dp/B000B9RI14And then the "Online Game Code" will automatically appear in my Live account?

I would not hesitate to contact the credit card company and dispute the additional charges, and let them deal with MS on it - you certainly have a valid case for that. For this reason, I also would never use a debit card when paying something like this online, a credit card only, so if this happens they can handle it. Most of the better known credit card companies will immediately credit you back for the disputed charges and resolve it directly with the merchant. Don B

It sounds like all MS is interested in is ruining their reputation as an online retailer. Just go to your CC & they should be more than willing to reverse the charges. While you're at it, explain to your bank that MS is not cooperating & harboring fraudulent activity. Instead of wasting time arguing with MS, spend that time filling out a report at the Better Business Bureau. Jason BocheDelta Virtual Airlines Assistant Chief Pilot, B767-300
