FS2Crew 737NGX co-pilot and VoxATC

Featured Replies

Hi guys,As you probably allready know, FS2Crew PMDG NGX edition will be out tomorow and will be buying it. I'm seriously considering Vox ATC (currently using RC4) but would like to know if it's possible for the FS2Crew co-pilot to talk to Vox ATC. As anyone tried with FS2Crew (for other airplanes)?I could not find the info on the forums.ThanksChris

Home cockpit builder ...well trying anyway

Hi Chris. The Fs2crew FO won't talk to VoxATC.However, both programs will work very well together. I have used both with the Wilco 737.You may want to toggle the speech mode on/off with FS2Crew if you talk to VoxATC else he will start implementing instructions like 'climb to FL200' as you read back. It can be handy just as long as you are ready for it.Chris

You can hand off comms to the VoxATC FO, just not the FS2Crew FO. In effect you can have two FO's. hearing 2 different voices could spoil the realism, but I find it ok. Especially as the FS2Crew FO can keep you pretty busy with check lists!Chris

Three's a crowd and all that, lol.I have a similar situation as i use FDC Live Cockpit so i'm hearing myself, FDC Captain, FDC FO and Vox ATC FO. Its getting crowded in the cockpit.

Kind Regards

Simon.

Is there any way to prevent fs2crew FO to not talk while voxATC is talking to me?

I think you can mute the Fs2Crew FO, however you may miss something he says. I don't think it's possible to delay his speech.Tell him not to be rude and wait until after the ATCO has finished speaking! ;)Chris

I just wanted to mention that I have the FS2 Crew soft mute button the same as VOX PTT so when I press the button on my joy stick to talk to VOX,it activates the soft mute function in FS2 Crew. That way when the PTT button is held down,FS2 Crew is in soft mute mode. Just make sure to choose a button that does nothing else! (I use DELETE)
