March 8, 201214 yr So im having trouble adjusting sensitivity on my joystick. I am using a program called Logitech profiler for the job. But even setting the deadzone to 100% on all axis, the joystick doesnt seem affected at all... Anyone have a solution for this?
March 9, 201214 yr I have the same joystick and the sensitivity makes it hard to fly, I use the mouse and the joystick together, by pressing the space bar to turn the mouse on, you can press the space bar to turn mouse off again. When using the mouse there is no need to adjust the trim, use slight movements up and down easy as. Left and right slight movements with the mouse gives nice precise turns. I use the joystick to land and take off, I find using both the mouse and joystick works really well.Give it a go, doesn't take long to get use to it.Gary
March 9, 201214 yr My friend has the same issues with the same stick. He just adjusts the trim and its barely flyable then he says. Hopefully further patches and support comes to the people that have sticks.Myself I enjoy the mouse for flying.
March 9, 201214 yr Have any of you tried tweaking the null zone in the standard.xml file for Flight? Increasing it will reduce sensitivity - I did it for my Cougar's X, Y, and Rz axis.That tweak was posted here a few days ago I think...Of course this would only work for Flight, if that is a problem with other flight sim programs that is another story - I would have thought Logitech would have good adjustments for that. March 9, 201214 yr When I first started flying, I noticed a similar effect, but in my case I blamed it on the planes being a little too twitchy. The Icon in the roll axis and the Stearman in pitch. I could have adjusted the response curves in CH Program Manager, but didn't.Funny thing though. After flying a lot, the planes no longer seemed twitchy. The Stearman is downright docile. I think it had something to do with my joystick skills... I was using a lighter hand on them.When I got the Maule and RV-6, the Maule was super twitchy in roll. It's still a bit too twitchy even at 125 knots. But it's getting better. It's not too bad at 100 knots if you fly that slow. The RV-6 is a little twitchy in pitch, but I'm getting used to it.Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
March 9, 201214 yr Same "sensitive" device here - but in my case, setting the following null zones made it work extremely well:- ailerons : 14%- elevator : 12%- rudder: 20% :Hypnotized:Use the "Tutorials" -> MS Flight -> Early tutorials -> Adjust joystick sensitivity for detailed information on how to change your settings.
March 9, 201214 yr My friend was saying cause the game doesn't use force feedback his controller doesn't work well. I will find out, I am headed to his place this weekend and when he mentioned it over TS. I only half heard him cause I really didn't care about his control problems :)
March 9, 201214 yr I use this same controller, have had it for about two years now and I never bothered with logitechs software. Only thing I adjusted was the rudder deadzone in the controller cfg file for MS Flight.. I have no issues flying. I could easily affordd a higher end stick, peddles etc but I could fly blind at this point in MS Flight or FSX. The stick just became an extention of my hand. March 9, 201214 yr Moderator Click the highlighted area, then follow the path to MS Flight -> Early tutorials -> Adjust joystick...People don't know how to find tutorials :Thinking:Maybe I should write up a Tutorial on how to find the Tutorial section......but then... :LMAO: HINT: If you don't see "TUTORIALS" on the menu bar, select the "MORE" button. March 10, 201313 yr Hi all. I have the Logitech Extreme 3d Pro and have the same sensitivity issues. I found that a small program called 'DXTweak' worked for me. I adjusted the deadzone on the sensitive axis and it was all good. Hopfully it'll help someone else Gt it here >> http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?g9gq14gtcc5v5ve
