March 18, 201214 yr Whenever I switch on the battery a beeping noise starts and I cannot figure out what it is and how to stop it. Can anyone help please? Thanks.Art Schwartz, Jr.
March 18, 201214 yr Commercial Member When does it stop during the pre-flight? It does stop eventually? Two things I can think of - IRS on BAT or TO config warning.Best regards,Robin.

March 18, 201214 yr Are you able to upload a quick video of it to youtube for us, or at least take a screenshot of your overhead and panel while the beeping is going? Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
March 18, 201214 yr Turn the emergency lights on, and if that doesn't work, try starting the APUThe first one has no relation to the sounds. The second one will solve in case of IRS in ON position. As stated above, ONLY 3 things are possible:1) TO config warning (beep beep beep...), in this case, put throttles to idle2) IRS are ON DC power (two tone noise), in this case, put both IRS selector to OFF BEFORE putting on battery.3) Cabin pressure, your airfield is above 10000fts and the cabin horn is sounding (same as take off config), 2 solutions avaiable: chose another lower airport, or, use the horn cutout button on the overhead panel, near the pressurization gauges. No other sounds can be heared from battery power. Unless you have a fire..... Regards Andrea Daviero

March 18, 201214 yr It turned out to be the throttles. Go figure. It's the "not in take-off configuration" alarm. You'll get it for a few things, but only throttles forward when going from cold start, I think..I'm sure others will chime in. You'll get it if you start your roll/TO-GA throttles with your TO flaps incorrect too. And doors?bestjake JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte

March 18, 201214 yr Keys in the ignition with the headlights on?;)I'll go with Andrea's post. Matt Cee
March 19, 201214 yr For some reason the aircraft loads with throttles forward. That's the beeping noise.
March 19, 201214 yr At least one throttle not in idle and one of the above. To be pedantic, said throttle must be above a certain angle for the warning to occur. Otherwise it would be really annoying during the taxi out! David Zhong New video every Thursday: Aircraft Lighting - Boeing 777
March 19, 201214 yr On ther classic was around 30-33° and on the NG is around 50° of lever angle. Regards Andrea Daviero
