What to do when the engineer contacts you?

Featured Replies

After parking at the gate after a flight what am I supposed to do when the engineer contacts me by saying something like "Cockpit from ground"?Looking in the documentation the reply should be "Go ahead" but nothing happens when I say that.

You can either "Chime" him with the Ground Button, or speak "Cockpit to Ground" and he'll answer you either way.I too am very confused with thr Ground Interaction at this point, I've read the Docs but I'd like a youtbue Tutorial if somone could make it.

I think you might misunderstood my question. In my case it's not me trying to get in contact with him but it's he who calls me right after the FA chimes.I'm not even sure if it is the engineer but "someone" calls me at the end of every flight by saying "Cockpit from ground" or something like that and I'm just wondering how I should react and what to respond.

You have to reply with:"go ahead" Than he put the chocks on followed by similar to this:"chocks on position, you can released the parking brakes now"

See my opening post in this thread...I've already checked the documentation and found that I should reply with 'Go ahead' but nothing happens when I say that and I've verified FS2Crew "hears" that's what I'm saying looking at the green band but nothing happens and I've also verified I have the correct mic selected and the volume enabled on the captains audio panel. Not sure why this single dialog doesn't work because I have no problems what so ever with any other dialogs in FS2Crew running all the checklists and so on.

Looks like Andreas posted while I was typing. :)Just checking from the Captains FlowPre-Shutdown

  1. When at the gate, set the 'parking brake'.

Some things require actions to be completed before the next trigger.Ground is wanting to place chocks and needs the park brake on.Also confirm you are not setting the chocks yourself.

Ok, maybe the problem is I still haven't set the parking brake before responding. Thanks a lot, will double-check this tomorrow!

What is the flow when you want to connect the gpu prior to all this? and why must you say please first to the ground "please connect gpu and external air". I dont start apu during taxi in as norshuttle is not doing it in aalborg for instance .THANKS Michael Moe

Now the engineer responds, it was my mistake missing to set the Service Interphone switch in it's correct position...sorry to waste your time.
