How to sharpen textures

Featured Replies

HiI am going round in circles trying to sharpen textures at airports. I am using nvidia inspector, can anyone please advise which setting to change ?Thanks

I have the exact same settings as you except for "Antialiasing - Behavior Flags", I have that set to "None" if I remember correctly.

Here you go Paul. Apart from the sparse grid supersampling, the main difference is handing over texture filtering to FSX. Some will argue that point, but after following advice a couple of weeks ago on the forum, I have been using this setting with excellent results. BTW I have run days of testing with different settings and have always come back to these. Also try setting you TextureMaxLoad in the cfg to 2048. Not sure this will help, but others can confirm this one way or another. Cheers...541Capture.png

Your texture filtering settings are a little redundant. Because it's set to "application controlled", Nvidia's profile (your Inspector texture filtering settings) will have no effect. Use "user defined/off"To the OP. As the other gentleman suggested, using a behavior flag of "application controlled" means your anti-aliasing settings won't take effect within FSX. Using the behavior flag of "none" is best.Clipboard01.jpg

Can someone help me with Nvidea inspector?

I`m aware of how it works, and you press APPLY for the changes to take effect, but my question is, as it ties in with the NVidea control panel, does that have to be set a certain way for these changes to activate in Inspector?

I`m trying to use this program, and to my mind, nothing is happening.

Howard, do you have your frame rate limiter set in fsx or is it unlimited there too?
