Today I finished off the Tormenter achievement, by frightening 10 passengers. The last one was Nervous Nelly, and it was a real pleasure. :DHook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
March 25, 201214 yr I wanna be known as a SOFTcore simmer... HeLLoExactly what I thought reading the first post, we seem to be soft core simmers and he is the hard core one. :)@@++
March 25, 201214 yr To be picky, nope, that's not trolling. Technically, trolling, or more accurately 'trawling', is offering the appearance of an easy target so that when someone shoots at you, they reveal their position, so you can then shoot back. The etymology of the term derives from 'trawling for fire', which is what reconnaissance spotter planes used to do in order to make an enemy target reveal its location, by flying temptingly over terrain where it is suspected that an enemy is concealed - sort of the military equivalent of pushing someone, in order to start a fight. So if someone posts a thread and then does not hang around for the stuff it stirs up, instead of having a pop back, then it is not trolling. More accurately, kicking it off and then leaving would be described as '**** stirring'.AlPicky indeed. Hehe Rolf Lindbom
March 25, 201214 yr I have tried rhubarb on two occasions, and I don't care if you make a pie out of it or try to cover it up with something else, I'll never like itI LOVE rhubarb! Rhubarb pie, rhubarb jam - I'll take it straight, don't mix those strawberries in there! AND I love Flight. Coincidence? Of course!this nonsensical post was brought to you by a formerly hardcore, now apparently softcore, flight simmer/gamer/whatever.with just a hint of sarcasm...
March 26, 201214 yr I don't know why you guys bash on anyone who hasn't "tried" (by your own standards) Flight. Is two hours enough? ten hours? or is more time needed to finally 'come' round to liking Flight? It's so condescending when you do that... Instead just appreciate that he gave it a try and didn't like it.I absolutely agree with you, how many hours do I need to play a game to start liking it or not??, I bought FIFA 2012, I loved it from the very first second, it impressed me, arguing that you need more time to like a product is not valid IMHO, it depends on people, you may like Flight from the very first momet, why not? or just dismissed it?"News flash: Nobody cares how "hardcore" you claim you are. Just because you played FSX for a while does not mean your opinion is somehow more valid than someone who is playing Flight for the first time. " Hardcore or not hardcore, well if someone spends tons of hours playing a game, he might have a better knowledge to judge a similar game, and his/her opinion somehow counts.
