PMDG 777 Featured!?

Recommended Posts

I really like to see this feature too! When we are talking about FLIRs and such stuff. Prepare 3D features such stuff :(
Which is indeed very helpful when you are developing an aircraft for FSX... :(

Camera view only on 777 - 300 and showed ONLY on MFD, no PFD
No the Pilot Taxing on the ground generally has it on their PFD which can bring up all the Synoptic Pages too as that screen is also MFD. Lots of switches can chang things around. The Camera's however are kept on the Bottom Center MFD In Flight.

The PFD ( Primary flight display) for the Capt, is on the Left Outboard SIDE, it can be Switched to the Left Inboard side, with the switch located on P1 panel below Left Inboard display. When PFD is switched to the LEFT INBOARD display the LEFT Outboard display is BLANK.So it is imposible that the pilots can be switched CAM display ion their PFD displays, just because it is a critial Display which ALWAYS much be on view. It can be presented on their ND (MFD)See youthe camera view can be presented in 3 MFD ( Left Inboard, Right Inboard and Lower EICAS displays). to do that we select at DSP ( display selector panel) the display where we cant to show the camera ( or another synoptic display) and push the CAM button. The MFD has several modes of presentation: PFD, ND, MFD or EICAS. they use to be set in MFD possition.

I don't think even the high end liquid cooled CPU's could handle all that additional load. That's a lot of rendering. An "Electronic Flight Bag" that isn't CPU heavy would be a good alternate imho.

This feature would definately hit on some FPS but that FPS hit would be in our hands.. We can simply rotate the knob to turn it off ;) ... ^

If it can be done realistically in FSX, PMDG will do it.It's that simple :(

It's possible. :(
This is how we co relate the development in Flight sim community.. Just love the VRS camera.. If they can do it so can PMDG :) and may be some work on Weather Radar too.. Like reality XP ;)

sidh: I think someone from PMDG once told that they liked what VRS does to fighters, and maybe even they talked about cooperation. However, WX radar... that has been beaten to death. Since any FS weather radar, RXP included, is not deemed real enough for the PMDG, that is a no go at this point. (Which makes me wonder, how about P3D? I guess its commercial customers would want a properly working WXR, so maybe LM re-did weather modelling?)
