Suggestions For FLIGHT-Post Them Here

Featured Replies

Us former beta testers still have access to the beta discussions and feedback section. If you have any suggestions you guys would like to have for FLIGHT, feel to add them here. I will add them to them to the Suggestion Thread that we have. Please make them Logical. Don't be asking for stuff like the entire world, or big jets. As stated, the devs aren't planning to create the entire world at this point. Big jets will come out as soon as we have enough land to fly through. Also, if I'm correct, FLIGHT's devs are working from small to large. If you have a suggestion for FLIGHT post them here as followed:

  • Suggestion 1
  • Suggestion 2
  • etc...

I will be checking each day at least twice to see if there's new suggestions and I will post them.Good Luck!

#1 - Native Track IR Support#2 - Pause ability in the plane, ie like FSX. Screen freezes, can even zoom whilst paused.#3 - M for Map View - workable for all types of flights, ie challenges, jobs, etc.#4 - Save Flight function - same as Map View request, ability to save a flight in other areas, not just free flight.#5 - Working toe brake mapping for axis - ie, works with toe brakes on pedals. My pedals do not have toe brakes, but for the folks that do I am sure they would like the ability to use them. Thanks,

Don B

Thank you, Alex.Howard (Microsoft) said: - "There are lots of other more specialized hardware options. We think we've done a good job to support a bunch of them. We'll add support over time if it's necessary, whether that's your pedals or more sophisticated flight sticks or throttles...USB devices. Even if the system doesn't know your device right off the bat, you can use our control mapping scheme to connect your device to the game and keep it going."Yoke system, pedal and throttle - OK.But......1. When will I be able to connect Flight (Fuel Pump, Lights, Landing Gear, etc.) to my other Goflight/Saitek-modules?

#1 Weather, real and customizable weather.#2 This one is just my desire: At least one jet or even a larger twing engine prop.

More missions in a cohesive form, like a career mission arc. I really like some of the missions (like the rescue mission) and I think there is a lot of room for more storytelling, even with minor story arcs.Maybe even story arcs tied to new planes, like the Maules set of missions, but with more story elements. I could see a bush plane in AK coming with a set of missions "inspired" by that reality TV show.If the voice over work is the limiting factor for more missions, I am fine without them :D

#1 a helicopter would be nice, and I feel fit nicely with both Hawaii and Alaska#2 more user options for flight realism#3 if not functional ATC, at least ATISthanks!

#1Some DLCs could be based on photoreal terrain instead of landclass, to see if some users like this type of scenery.I'm thinking to some touristically interesting areas with mountains and not many buldings and trees ... Death Valley, Grand Canyon, ..., or also marine areas (see attached pic)."Photoscapes" could be a nice name for such kind of addon sceneries, to release only for certain areas where good aerial/satellite images are available. The attached screenshot is the coast of Tuscany, Italy, in FSX. LOD14, bgl files have a reasonable size.#2Some warbirds maneuvrable and grateful to fly, like a Spitfire or Zero or Hellcat (the last two were fantastic in CFS2 ... nostalgic remark ...)

#1 TrackIR support#2 DLC planes with virtual cockpit please#3 ATIS to start, ATC at some point later#4 Improved weather system: real world weather, custom weather with more options and clouds that look better.#5 Better career system, closer to Take On Helicopters for example. They nailed the "gaming" aspect for civilian flying far better#6 Helicopters indeed! Thanks!

Autopilot, ATC, AI and a basic flight planner are very basic feature one can request for.

#1 Cockpits#2 TrackIR#3 Cockpits#4 Working Autopilot, where appropriate #5 Cockpits#6 AI traffic, ground and air#7 Cockpits#8 Trim and flap axis options, not just buttons#9 CockpitsOh, and just in case you missed it...#10 Aircraft with COCKPITS. EDIT: Man, how did I forget... #11 Toe brakes, including separate Left and Right brake axis settings. Oh, and one more, of course... #12 Cockpits

A tut on using the radios with a leaning to use in multiplayer. Sure you could record some lines for ground/approach etc, set to trigger when the correct frequency is dialed. If you have a passenger I think you should be able to see them.Model structual/engine damage for the planes, have it as an on/off toggle in the assists and let the host decide if collisions with other planes should be on/off in multiplayer. In my opinion this should be top priority.I know it's GFWL, but dedicated servers please. P2P is not the way and should be kept on the consoles.EDITFully working virtual cockpits and systems on deluxe planes.

#1 if they don't add AI aircraft then they might consider to extend the max number in MP sessions, with max 16 these are usually either coming in a bulk (hey, I like these group flights) or are sooo spread over the islands that I still feel like flying alone (e.g. when flying missions)#2 cockpits (I know, has been said before but just to make sure)#3 ATC or if that takes to much time for now (don't get me wrong, this is a must in the mid term) then at least ATIS and possibly some radio chatter (maybe even from liveatc.net) to enhance the immersion#4 TrackIR support#5 twin engine planes like beech 350, king air or cessa 340, no more taildraggers please for now#6 GPS/moving map (available all the time in a window or even gauge unlike the map view)#7 Autopilot, at least basic function like HDG HOLD and ALT HOLD#8 Aircraft damage or at least stress model#9 Fair weather clouds please a little bit more randomly placed and not like in a row, see pic below#10 See AeroCache Sensor if HUD is disabled. Right now I have all or nothing#11 Let the 'skip to next waypoint' message fade out like the messages when the view changes. It takes away from the immersion if I see that message on the screen while flying. As with any other on screen message, see #12#12 generally make messages and notifications more 'adjustable', I even want to disable the view messages. Believe me, I can see by looking at my screen when I change a view, no need to tell me. And I want to influence which messages I see (e.g. I wouldn't want to see the 'press b to start engine' message either but maybe the wind indicator (whereas ATIS in #3 is the preferred option here).#13 enhance the clandestine missions by adding MP functionality, let real people fly the law enforcement planes and actively look for the clandestine pilot#14 when flying missions have the possibility to disable the destination marker but still be able to find the cargo area on the ground; may go together with #12 to have more options. The destination marker when flying is too obstrusive where I need it on the ground since the cargo/unload areas are not really selfexplanatory, would nice to be able to add a parking marker similiar to progressive taxi in FSX except that I would not want to see the arrows on the ground but just the yellow diamond where I need to go on the ground.#15 make Flight more stable and try to get rid of my way too many 'corrupted installations' or CTDs which just pop up out of the blue every once in while#16 also save the mission status in the cloud to avoid that people have to go through all missions again if they accidentally not make a backup of that profile folder#17 and yes, make an option to invert the hat panning in outside view, left button turns view left and not the aircraft

Might not work so good on P2P hosting, would be nice if the host could set the limit though.

For me, I would add to all of the above...1) Correct the bug with the engine models in the Maule, Stearman and RV6, namely, the RPM not having any impact on MP. A prop engine, either constant-speed or variable, should show increase in MP when for a given MP/RPM setting, the RPM is reduced, and a decrease in MP when RPM is increased. They're rather noticeable on an aircraft of this type, and they're the reason why you increase Prop first and then Throttle, and decrease Throttle first and then Prop...2) Add rudder and aileron key/axis mappings to the airplane controls3) Fix the FM so that more yaw than roll is caused by the prop effects when flying at high power settings, particularly at lower speeds (when climbing out... for instance)
