Nvidia 301.24 and Nvidia Inspector 1.9.6.3

Featured Replies

I'm, now running the new 301.24 beta driver and Inspector 1.9.6.3 and I'm happy to report that for the first time in ages I can lock the framerate to 30 (in either FS9 or FSX) and still have a smooth stutter free experience :)

The trick is to set Vertical Sync (in Inspector) to 1/2 Refresh Rate (asuming you're using a 60Hz monitor). I use standard tear control as I found the new Adaptive method still gave some tearing.

Gonna do some more testing now :)

does it work in windowed mode?

Not for me, there was tearing. Using Windows7 64bit.

Hey, thanks for these settings. I used them on my recent flight from Santa Ana to Las Vegas with the NGX and it was just perfect. Smooth (even if the frames were on 15 FPs) and no shutter whatsoever. Just an perfect flight.

Best regards, Steffen

What do you mean by tearing and where do you see it? Is it in the horizontal or vertical plane?

I cannot understand how to use FXAA along with AA filters. For example, can I lower AA & transparency filters when FXAA enabled? I have seen that only Enable/Disable are the options to go.

Are there other feedbacks about FXAA?

Thanks. bye.
