I am forced to do the intro missions again...?

Is that the "career.spb" file under something like:

C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Flight\Players\B94562FEA2FB9428\Career

It's about a 180kb file.

It's that entire "Career" folder, not just one file. Make copies of it on your backup drive periodically.

Thanks.... done... just in case... :)

In some sense I should be mad. I remember a supervisor I had (Who apparently was having a bad day) who suddenly just screamed and swept everything off of her desk with one arm: computer, monitor, paperwork, stapler.... everything. Then froze when she realized her entire team was staring at her like o.O

I felt like that for one half a billionth of a second. Then just rolled my eyes and thought "Screw it"

Life is too short. :P

Spaghetti for dinner.

Microsoft should probably fix that. (sigh)

Yeah, one error I get fairly regularly is my system re-awards all my awards all over again. I don't mind so much but 1) it takes like 5 minutes to *bleep* thru them all, and 2) it shows all my awards as awarded the same day.

There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.

Poor guys... I don't want that to happen to me now that I have proudly reached 720,000 XPs and 89 Aerocaches :-)

Ok, laugh at my low standards....

All the mission completion is saved in the Career.spb, and XP aerocaches and awards are stored on the server. I would back everything up every once in a while. Did you get any messages when you started the game about the career file being corrupted? It would be extremely helpful to fixing the bug if you have a copy of the files immediately before your progress was lost. The only way I can see obtaining this is if you make a copy every time before starting Flight, or if you can find it in the previous versions as Ramon mentions.

Also, it is a good idea to post stuff like this in the Steam support forum. It gets more visibility there from our support team and is more likely to bump up the priority of the bug if we know how many people it is affecting.

In my case I had a perfectly normal session that I signed out of with no problem. Several hours later when I started the game again.......

I was back at the beginning.
