April 18, 201214 yr Seems like in the new forums now there are many more duplicate threads started? Maybe something needs to be fine-tuned. scott s. .
April 18, 201214 yr I've seen no comments from Admin on this. It's getting kinda crazy, triple and quadruple posts. What's up with that! Joe Brown
April 18, 201214 yr from what I have seen, in my own scenario, with all the changes we made, if you have not cleared your cache in a while, then the page "hangs" when you try to post. In some cases, it returns a blank window. If you get impatient, and hit POST again, it double replies. I found myself doing this once yesterday. On a different machine today, which had a clean cache to begin with, I have NO issues and have not seen this problem. So I guess my suggestion is to clear your cache, back to the beginging of time is the wording in Chrome, same for MSIE, and whatever wording Firefox uses, do that on there too. Otherwise I can see no other reason for the problem, other then people getting impatient and slamming on the POST button multiple times, or it timing out and people submitting again. How I discovered it was to get a blank page returned, I hit the back button, but DID NOT refresh. I then went back to the area in question and my topic did in fact take. As for having to clear cache, we're done messing with fURL for the mid-term being, maybe longer. So this SHOULD be the last time you have to do that. April 22, 201214 yr I notice that the create your post page remains after clicking the post button. This is a new behavior, and shouldn't be blamed on the brower cache. I think something changed on the server end to create this mess. Just my opinion. I noticed that in posting this, it did behave as expected. But last night I experience the problem. Dan Downs KCRP
April 23, 201214 yr My 2 cents: I had a double post this morning. Posting took some time after clicking the button, but I only clicked it once. After a minute or so, 2 identical posts were made.
