Yeah just popups, like the FMC etc

I think there are going to make 2d main panel too.

Reminds me of all the "Are you going to make the NGX for FS9?" and "Are you going to make the 777 for FS9?" questions.

Sounds great. This is pretty much how I fly the NGX anyway. I love the VC, but I haven't yet invested in TrackIR. So it is nice to be able to pop up some 2D panels to program the FMS or switch off the lights, without having to change my view.

Yep, I actually tried to go back to FS9 few months back as I wanted to fly a 777 so bad so I attempted the PSS 777 POSKY merge, that was fine but just FS9 can't get use to. A lot of little features gone and can't fly without ha.

No, they're making the popup PFD screens, not the whole panel.

As long as we still get the CDU popup I'm happy. That's the only popup I use anymore. Track IR + EZDOK handles the rest!

Its not the same, not even similar. FS9 is legacy platform, its simply to old. At the other side, 2d panels are feature of product, just like soundset.

Ill just quote RSR, so everyone can interpret statement however he/she want:

...so I think that with the triple 7, you will see primary panels, so for things like MCP, main displays you'll still see 2d. I do not believe in the triple 7 you will see entire overhead panel however.

I know FS9 and FSX are different. I was just saying that that there are a lot of questions/comments on AVSim that repeat the same thing time after time.

Yea, I think there should be one topic for 2d and one topic FS9, which would be useless, but if people want to discus about possibility for FS9 (0%), they can do that in one thread instead of 10.

For 2d panels, its obvious that they do not want to do 2d panels because thats time/money consuming job (at least thats what they said), Unfortunately, every money/time cut result reduced quality of product, so its the same case here.

I continue to have diffculty being a 3D only panel user. In the 3D panel, they are many thing I can't see unless I 'turn my head', which I don't want to be doing on short final. I would take a 3D panel with certain 2D popups (which PMDG said they were going to do) like the glareshield. If I had one for the 737, I'd be perfect.

Ryan if you see this can you not pin the 2D topic that you locked so people will see? I'm sure someone has asked this in at least 2/3's of the topics...

I can sit in the cockpit of a real plane and think to myself, "Self, this sounds just like the PMDG version on my home PC". Perhaps you can tell me where I should look to see what the 2D panels should look like?

Paul Smith.
