April 25, 201214 yr Gerard, keep the zoom always at 1.0 with wideview=true. You need to keep the ditances the same, and correct otherwise you will misjudge and mess up. Without wideview=true you need to alter soom. See the calclassic.com zoom factor calculation thread in this forum, but doesnt work for wideview =true, keep at 1.0.

Hi Johan, With my setup those are the numbers that work for me. When using the NGX with a higher zoom value not everything I need from the main panel ( VC ) fits on the screens. With 0.9 instead of 1.0 it looks perfect. In wingview the view already is zoomed in more so 0.7 compares to 0.9 to me. With spotplane view 0.8 gives a good looking view ; 1.0 is to much zoomed in and lower gives the famous fisheye effect. With CTRTL and - of + I zoom in/out on the aircraft without zooming in/out on the scenery. Nice cockpit you have btw... :Peace: 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
April 25, 201214 yr I understand. However, you still keeps distorting the distances this way. In my choice I use 2d panel as main, so I always have the panel in view, all the gauges, as it should be. Benefit is also easy to edit 2d panels to your likings, and better on the frames. I have the same PC as you and it works well with 2 th2go and 6 screens.

April 25, 201214 yr Yes I remember that, those were the days! Here are some samples what one can do with 6 monitors, and not being bound to one plane: (difficult to find good pictures tough) (and, the divider between the top and bottom row is a piece of wood, to place the checklist, flightplan, your hand or your glass of wine on, like a dashboard) The middle monitor show in real life the same color, on a picture its always greenish. Very strange, maybe because that one is a led lcd.
April 27, 201214 yr .. I moved form TH2GO 3 22" HP 1680x1050, to LG42" plasma, 1920x1080, gave up some quality and range, gain some FPS , but most of all realism, instrument are readable, outside it' like R/W. I'm GA guy, means, what goes outside really matter to me ,there is nothing like flying over the Rockies with ORBX, on Large Screen, wow, it's fantastic ... I switched and never looked back Yair
April 27, 201214 yr Author Yair - that's pretty much where I am at. I feel like I lost a little resolution however, once I reset the LCD and select PC input for the HDMI port in use, it seems that the resolution improved a bit. The coloration is finally set and feels good. FPS was the biggest gainer. FOV and setting my EZCA cameras is the part I am having the most difficulty adjusting to. The VC is so much in my face compared to the 3H2Go that it's taking a bit to get use to. Having the "hard edges" of the display within my peripheral view almost making me feel "enclosed" in a box sort to speak. With the 3H2go setup, although the edges were distorted, this "boxing" effect was lost. I think this feeling will go away with just more flight time. I have been fiddling with the display since I got it and getting my desktop(s) squared away using Dexpot (great app!). I am GA as well so the extra window display and scale I get wit the LCD makes it a winner (...not hands down winner.... but winner). I still wouldn't shy anyone away from a x3 monitor setup in general. Benjamin Van Eps
April 27, 201214 yr could someone explain to me how it technical works with 6 screens. lets assume i will buy the eyefinity with six screens. I suppose I need 2 computers, one as server and a second one. if the server has all the applications what does the other computer needs(is that fsx again?) I have 3th to go and I could buy another one how will the pictures comes together ? paula
April 27, 201214 yr I just hookup up 3 screens on a digital triplehead to go. Did it again with 3 others, and another th2go. Expanded desktop in win7 to 6 screens, (mind that win7 sees only two large screens now, it sees the 2 th2go's) Then, set the screensizes up in FS and voila. No 2th PC, all in one. I7-2600K.
April 28, 201214 yr is it a right consumption if you put the 2 trips in one grafic card that you have one picture over the 6 screens? paula
April 29, 201214 yr is it a right consumption if you put the 2 trips in one grafic card that you have one picture over the 6 screens? Yes, but in FSX you will only have 3 monitors icw 1 TH2Go in 3d acceleration. So the second set of three are not. That means that when using the seconds set of 3 for outside views you will loose a lot of fps. 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0

May 1, 201214 yr I just sold my TH2G and replaced it with a large 27" LED that runs at 1920 x 1080.. I'm happy with the decision. I didn't like how the TH2G stretched the scenery images along the side edges of the display. In order to get the gauges big enough to seem realistic, I ended up moving the viewpoint forward and really cutting down on the FOV. I use EZ Doc to map views to my Warthog - so I can easily cycle through takeoff, cruise, instrument and landing views. Also for MCP etc. But the biggest thing is I can now fly IL2 again - the work arounds for the TH2G were unsatisfactory for that sim. And I can play a slew of games that don't have TH2G support. And I gained a few frames. My $.02
May 2, 201214 yr With 2 40" lcd screens as one wide view I would be satisfied too... :Peace: But my dream would be : - instruments on 3x 26" with a TH2Go and panel pc ( main ) - outside view on 3x 40" with Th2Go and view pc ( client through Wideview ) 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
May 2, 201214 yr Interesting thread - has anyone considered depth perception? I use a projector with a 3.5m throw creating a 90"+ 16:9 screen. I have an (optional) second 24" LCD up close for instruments but can also be used to mirror the projector view. Size-wise they are similar from my seating position. But, in focussing further away for the external/vc view it is much more immersive in terms of scale, even if running at a lower resolution - the world appears "out there". it would be very difficult for me to go back to a desktop display for external view. My brain isn't fooled.
