RSS sends headers to a "feed reader".(a news aggregation system)

This link is to one such feed reader (the one I use) and will give you a clearer explanation than I can at the moment.

Basically it enables you to see what is new on a bunch of websites without actually browsing to all of them. You can pick & choose the articles to read. I have Avsim in my feed but seldom actually use it since Avsim is in the first 3 places I visit every day.

I use Google Reader to get all the posts from my favourite blogs. I currently subscribed to the FS9 and FSX forum feeds but I have to use Email notifications for the PMDG General forum feed. I would appreciate it if the mods can make a PMDG RSS feed which includes both the general and aircraft specific forum threads.

I usually get 1000+ posts a day from about 40 RSS feeds, and I usually glance over them unless it's something that I want to read.

Ahh...thanks guys, I've seen RSS for years but never thought it was something I could use. Looks like a very useful time-saver and something I will check out. :good:
