May 15, 201214 yr I am about to go to school to fly the 1900D. Is there any chance the sim will work on FSX? Thank you, Marshall Motley
May 16, 201214 yr Marshall, you need to learn to use the search feature, e.g. "pmdg 1900D fsx" will turn up the links you need e.g. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/320506-pmdg-1900/ Dean Stringer
May 27, 201214 yr the ngx treatment for the 1900D wauld be a great idea PMDG. Yes, a new B1900C and D would be great! May 27, 201214 yr I agree. I love that plane so much! Please PMDG! Hopefully one with FMC rather than GPS haha :) Cameron Caldwell CPL (A) King Air 200 Pilot
May 28, 201214 yr I would love to see this airplane redone. Its one of my favorites as I grew up with Great Lakes flying into my home town. John Bauer
June 8, 201213 yr The early ones didn't even have gps I don't think. I guess at the time (early 80's) they didnt think about putting gps in, it was very new technology and maybe wasnt even out yet when the first 1900's rolled of the line. Then they came with gps. No fms though. Lee Sent using Tapatalk
June 8, 201213 yr From what I can tell, the 1900's did not come from the factory with GPS or FMC. Many 1900's still flying today have been upgraded with a KLN-90 GPS, a few have Garmin 400 series and a precious few have a Garmin 500 series GPS. June 12, 201213 yr think the last 1900D off the production line did come with a gps be cause its first flight was in 2002
June 13, 201213 yr Actually the first 1900D came off the line in 92. The 1900d did come with a gps I'm pretty sure. ( don't quote me on this but I think it was the KLN90 gps) the 1900C's didn't have them at first- probably up until the early 90's. You still see a lot today without any gps. Lee Sent using Tapatalk
June 14, 201213 yr Ahh the good 'ol KLN090B's. I remember first seeing the little moving map funtion in that beauty and was amazed. I thought it was the coolest thing. It's a fantastic unit really, and a great bargain and fully featured unit for first time panel-mount buyers. Patrick Houghton
June 23, 201213 yr In real life or on the sim? ;) I don't have PMDG's 1900, but I think the closest you could get to adding a -90B to the unit is either with Project Tupolev's KLN-90, or Flight1's Islander's, or the basic one included with Aerosoft's Twin Otter. You'd have to play with some panel.cfgs and gauge files but it may be possible. Patrick Houghton
June 24, 201213 yr I'm pretty sure that any GPS on the 1900D was a customer option as many airlines chose not to get it. Most airlines (in the US at least) just opted to fly /A using VORs and DME because the routes were pretty short. Ahh the good 'ol KLN090B's. It's a fantastic unit really, and a great bargain and fully featured unit for first time panel-mount buyers. Super nav 5! I have many hours (about 200+) behind a KLN90B in a CItation II cockpit. I knew that box inside and out. Dan
