VERSION 2.4.8.8. HAS BEEN RELEASED ...

Featured Replies

I know what to say.....its MCE that doesn't seem to understand!

I have tried various versions of what I would say in the real world and MCE picks it up maybe 10% of the time.

I will continue to experiment.

Sorry Glenn,

I simply misunderstood what you said, ( another senior moment).

with tail firmly wedged between legs, I defer to FS++ and all those with a better idea of what's going on inside MCE.

Cheers

Guys

The grammar file is in the process of being updated and should be released as part of the Wednesday update. This will add better understanding by MCE, but won't fix everything. It's a slow process. Hence we should have set our debug=1 (see another thread of how to so this). This will help the FS++ team

Thanks

Hey, no offence taken. You have my total respect here.

I have set my Debug=1 and the file is now ceated in my MCE App folder. As i cannot read what is recorded in that file, at what point should i send that file to FS++ Support?

You can read the file:

1. Right click the file and select properties

2. Where it says 'Opens With' click the 'change' button

3.from recommended programs select 'Notepad' then click OK

It will then open with notepad.

This is what's in mine so far. There's not that many words really and I've had it running for sometime.

Let the file build up for a few weeks before you send it to FS++

As you can see it also builds words that are repeated over time.

Please bear in mind that not ALL words will get included in one go.

The grammar file is continually evolving.

As an example, there was a problem this morning with some of the 'purser' dialogue just because of two small words 'to, the' had not been accounted for.

This then has to be 'fixed', which takes away development time on the 'more important' parts of moving MCE forward.

At this point in time the FS++ team are busily working towards the 'new' improvements for the next release.

As I have said they provide first class support and most times within hours.

So, the longer you leave the file to 'build' the better really.

I'm locking this thread, purely because we've wandered off what this started off as; that's all.

Please start more relevant threads if so needed or to continue with other issues that have been in this thread

Cheers
