June 4, 201213 yr Hello. When I call for gear up,the FO replies "Gear up Lights off" What lights are being turned off? I seem to remember him turning off the retractable landing lights and the runway turnoff lights but he does not do that now. Thanks. Dennis Dennis Elliott

June 4, 201213 yr Author Yes, I certainly asked for that one. I was so focused on the retractable lights part of the question that I overlooked the obvious. Yes he is of course calling out the landing gear lights being out. Let me rephrase the question. In version 1.3 the FO would often ( I don't think always) turn off the retractable landing lights shortly after departure, but I have not seen this happen in version 1.4 Is this something that was changed or fixed? Should the FO turn off these lights or would the captain do it. Thanks. Dennis Dennis Dennis Elliott
June 5, 201213 yr Commercial Member Hi Denis, The lights generally go out at 10,000 feet. There is an option however to have the fixed landing lights come off at 18,000 (as some US airlines do it that way). Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
