June 12, 201213 yr The scheduled maintenance on the MS FLIGHT servers tomorrow at the end of the day (UTC), makes me think that Alaska will probably get released before the end of this week. With Alaska I strongly hope things will change regarding what has been pointed out as negative in MS FLIGHT. I believe the new features brought by Alaska will please it's users even more and make some forget about the less interesting aspects of this flight simulation game. We all know that with Alaska more cockpitless aircraft will come, but we also know that the region will be modelled in detail, specially regarding the climatic/weather characteristics that make flight operations in Alaska sometimes very tricky. I would like to see Clandestine Missions replaced by SAR in that region :-), a float plane apart from the Icon5 will most probably be included as well, either as default or as a separate DLC. This type of aircrat will certainly offer interesting missions / achievements :-) Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)
June 12, 201213 yr Nice speculation... Pity it's only speculation. I do believe we are closer to the release of Alaska then we were when Alaska was announced.. but that's all I know.

June 12, 201213 yr I really think it's too soon for Alaska to be released. Not trying to be a nay-sayer, but realistically we still know nothing about it and it's generally not like a company to keep people in the dark about a DLC a week before it's released. Prior to the release I would expect more information about missions and aircraft, so some buzz can be generated before they just throw this release out there. I know we're all waiting for this, but I just don't see it happening this month.

Expect to hear something in the next day or two for the June DLC. But in any case, they've been talking about Alaska for 3 months now. Not much, sure, but snippets of information and some screenshots. They also haven't mentioned anything else at all about upcoming DLC. We knew before that there were more warbirds coming. At this point, the only remaining DLC they've even mentioned is Alaska. Bet it on it for June 27th.
June 12, 201213 yr Commercial Member I'm thinking that this is in preparation for an update that will support Alaska down the road. We will be getting a title update with Alaska, and I'm sure the servers will need to be ready for it before launch. Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer

Bet it on it for June 27th. The two weeks before previous DLC I can understand, but there is a difference between a cockpit-less warbird and Alaska. There isn't much need to build up a release of a warbird. What I am talking about are the specifics of Alaska, missions, planes, features, etc. I wouldn't expect a release so soon when literally all we have are a few random screenshots of terrain. That is hardly anything. They really haven't been talking about Alaska much, it's mostly been speculation on the part of the fans. All we've heard officially is that it's huge and here are a few screenshots. Now if in the next week or so we start hearing a lot of details then I will beleive a June release. But here we are, just about 2 weeks from the 27th and we haven't seen anything about this massive DLC. Basically we've gotten the same level of information we got for warbirds, just a few teaser images. I'll always be hopefull, but I'm just thinking realistically here.
June 12, 201213 yr Not trying to be a nay-sayer, but ... Naysayer! Naysayer! Shun the non-believer! Shun! :LMAO: (I hope it comes out this month, but you're right -- anything could happen...) There's no place like this place, so this must be the place.
