Opinions on Aerosoft Bronco?

Featured Replies

Pointers, please, Zach, as I'm pulling the trigger on this add-on.

Start here, Rick. http://vietnamwar.project.free.fr/ This is a neat add-on I had some fun with. Switched things up for me and my aging FSX installation.

Particularly this page: http://vietnamwar.pr.../Downloads.html Find the required mesh files over Flightsim.com. It's Raimondo Taburet, not "Raimundo".

Thanks a bundle, Zach. Grateful. At least it will add to the fun I hope to have with the 'Bronc'.

I pulled the trigger on this thing today, with the 10% off tuesday special as well... Got it for about $19...

It's decent... Does about 250-260 kias near sea level with full power. Flight dynamics alright... it's very touchy in the yaw axis, and rudder control is difficult on takeoff.

Decent panel, a few models have the default GPS on the panel (well it's aerosoft's bezel with basic default gps500 and some extra bells/whistles)... overall good visibility.

I'm glad I didn't pay $35 for it but for 19 it's worth it.

Don't keep that full power up too long, Ryan. She will bite if you have the failures on.

Yeah I just noticed lol... I was happily cruising vfr @ 17,500 when I noticed a sudden loss of power. Fire handles all lit up external im in flames yikes!

Haha, shot down without actually getting shot. Just%20Kidding.gifDon't worry, happened here too.

Getting this later tonight. I just hope I do not feel later that it was a bad buy, but as the comments here so far seem far more encouraging than BBS's Airbus release is getting, I'll pull the trigger, I reckon.

It's a nice thing, and especially if you can get it for a reduced price. Kind of useful too, big payload, faster than most GAs, slower than big stuff, long endurance and able to land and take off from short strips. Lots of utility there for all kinds of flight simming fun.

Thanks for that Al. So this will be in the can tonight before that extra 10% expires.

The shaking means something is over limit... or you're stalling...

But yeah those are some issues I have... the track IR in spot doesn't bother me... I think there's a way to amend those camera angles. Basically there's a setting which allows the camera to move a little bit... I can't recall what it is. I've found the yaw issue annoying but I just work the pedals... maybe the real one is touchy too?

Thanks for that post, Stephen. I owe you one as I just about to pull the trigger. Glad I stopped in time. The money I'll be saving can go towards the new Dell IPS 24-inch monitor.

The real OV-10's were well known for yaw when in ground effect.

Buy it!

Unfortunately, you recommendation and re-appraisal came a shade too late for me to miss the boat.
