Which of you simmers was at the controls of this 767?

Still, with AccuSim, everything does buff out in seconds when you drag it in the hangar.

Must have been his accu-feel settings.

LOL!

The pilot could always claim that he'd been put off by having practiced with, and got used to the different flare characteristics of the Captain Sim 767. After all, everyone likes to blame Captain Sim for everything else, so it might work on this occasion too :LMAO:

Of course... it all could have been a poorly timed sneeze.

I've actually witnessed this before and it set it up an interesting porpoise much like this one.

I wonder how such damage would appear inside the cabin or whether the passengers would notice anything. Does anybody know if an accident report exists for this incident? I would like to know more.

It's a bit early for a report, but here's a report for a very similar incident involving a 767 at Bristol Airport in the UK:

I think the pilot should claim that he forgot to turn on smoothing in FSUIPC, and REX loaded in a crosswind just as he came over the threshhold.

*Yup, I was presented with a custom made t-Shirt with the phrase "Sneezy-Gonzalaz" by the CP

LOL. I can't remember if I was using ActiveSky or FsMetar but I've had some pretty close calls due to winds suddenly changing as I'm on short short finals. He should definitely have said that!

Many thanks,

LOL, don't feel bad. My Brother and Father both fly, and they have those T-shirts too!

I have that T-shirt already, along with the sudden overspeed thanks to REX's "gradually loading the weather into FSX".

Well, if you think that's bad, I found out how aerobatic the JF 737-100 was last night after REX Essentials pulled in a weather change that was hugely different over France, and that was with FSUIPC doing its thing too. It can do very nice barrel rolls, but then again, the 737-100 does look like a scaled-up Messerschmitt 262 :LMAO:
