July 6, 201213 yr Just for kicks, I made a list of every capital city in the US. Then I gathered a little information about the airport in that area. I alphabetized the list, then flew from each capital to the next, in order. It was great fun. The biggest challenge was flying 3700+ miles from PHNL to KIND. You really need a good tailwind. Carson City is another good challenge. It is situated between two mountain ranges, and has a narrow runway. I started and ended in Washington, DC (KDCA). I think next I'll do Europe. July 7, 201213 yr Cool. How did you fly into those smaller airports like in Helena and Carson City if they can hold 737s? i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB
July 7, 201213 yr Helena looks to be a breeze. But, Carson City is a nasty CTL (no straight-in) GPS approach into a valley. * Orest Orest Skrypuch President & CEO, UVA www.united-virtual.com
July 7, 201213 yr Looks like quite an adventure. How long did it take you to do that? 5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2
July 7, 201213 yr Author I forgot to update the list. Concord NH has a runway that is 6005 ft. (not the 3000 ft. listed). I really just assumed my NGX could fly into every airport and made it happen. I would say Carson City was the most "fun". I flew between one and three flights per day. I started on the 17th of June, so 2 1/2 weeks. Dennis Trawick Screen Shot Forum Rules
July 7, 201213 yr Now, do them in alphabetical order of the state! A whole new adventure. * Orest Orest Skrypuch President & CEO, UVA www.united-virtual.com
July 7, 201213 yr Very impressive! As for Orest's suggestion, I think you may have to submit to a fuel stop on the Georgia to Hawaii leg......3814nm KATL direct PHTO, and not a tailwind in sight..... Alabama Alaska Arizona Arkansas California Colorado Connecticut Delaware Florida Georgia Hawaii Idaho Illinois Indiana Iowa Kansas Kentucky Louisiana Maine Maryland Massachusetts Michigan Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Montana Nebraska Nevada New Hampshire New Jersey New Mexico New York North Carolina North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma Oregon Pennsylvania Rhode Island South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Vermont Virginia Washington West Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming New mission? July 8, 201213 yr Now do Europe :D. I did it once, but not in the NGX. I would do it in the NGX, but I get some poor FPS is some airports. Dmitrij Nazarenko
July 8, 201213 yr Now do Europe :D. I did it once, but not in the NGX. I would do it in the NGX, but I get some poor FPS is some airports. Which language, would you alphabetize in!? * Orest Orest Skrypuch President & CEO, UVA www.united-virtual.com
July 8, 201213 yr Which language, would you alphabetize in!? * Orest Latin alphabet. Dmitrij Nazarenko
July 8, 201213 yr OK, here is the US spreadsheet, once downloaded you can sort it any way you wish. Most of the data copied for the kind contribution above. I have included CONUS only, and have not populated lat/long and distances, perhaps someone else can do that. Where the actual capital does not have a civilian airport, the closest major airport is listed in the Other column, but the actual Capital is still listed. https://docs.google....cWU5U0dCcE1XeEk THEN, select File | download. As I go along, will be putting in the flightplans. * Orest Orest Skrypuch President & CEO, UVA www.united-virtual.com
