July 7, 201213 yr By default my 430w and 530w default to 8khz increments... it's a pita to change comm freqs with that setup. Anyone know how to get them by default to the 25 khz channel spacing? I can do it in the GPS but I've got to make the change everytime and I'm getting tired of it. It used to work fine but somehow changed with the 1.6v patch. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
July 7, 201213 yr Lower right knob, turn the large knob twice to the AUX page, turn the small knob twice to the Setup 1 page. Cursor down to COM Config hit enter. Cursor down to 25.0kHz, hit enter. Now cursor and click back to your main page. You're good to go. You will have to do this everytime you run FSX. For some damn reason RXP made 8.33kHz the default with the last update. Joe Brown

July 7, 201213 yr Thanks to both Ryan (for asking) and Sean for your answer. I'm really pleased to have this little annoyance fixed. Yes, as Joe describes, you could change this, but you had to do it every single time you flew. Thanks again, guys. Seems to work great! Scott
July 8, 201213 yr There is a new update 1.6.1 that just came out recently to fix this issue. Thanks for the HU. Is there a separate update installer or do I need to run the full installation again? Edited. Disregard, I've found the update. http://www.simforums.com/forums/gns-v1601-is-out_topic42432.html
July 8, 201213 yr You can always check if you are up to date from the Start menu. Start> All Programs> RealityXP> Software Updates. Just remember to update from both links if you have the unlimited package too, I tried just the unlimited link first and that ran an update, but after I checked the other link it said that it had an update for that too. Maybe if I had done it the other way around the unlimited update may not have been necessary. Cheers, Andy.
July 8, 201213 yr Makes sense. I've never used that feature. Shame on me. Don't the gauges itself check the status when running? I think I saw that option somewhere.
July 8, 201213 yr Thanks for the tip by the way. Works like a charm, no link search needed. Next time you tell me sooner, ok? :P
