July 11, 201213 yr I just reinstalled FSX after a long and glorious reboot, and I dont have modules folder for some reason? Im not sure why, does anyone else know whats up with this? Jerad Burns
July 11, 201213 yr I don't think there is a "default" modules folder. The only thing in mine is FSUIPC. regards, Joe The best gift you can give your children is your time.
July 11, 201213 yr N60 JBravo is quite correct, there is no Modules Folder in FSX. When and if you install FSUIPC it is created for you, and that is where FSUIPC resides. Some other addon programs then request you place their program files etc in the Modules Folder, so if you come up against this just install FSUIPC first.
July 11, 201213 yr Moderator It's a trivial matter to create a ..\Modules folder using Windows Explorer if needed. On the other hand, in FSX most such .dll files should be placed in the root FSX folder, which is why there is no ..\Modules folder when installing FSX from scratch. B) Fr. July 12, 201213 yr To expand a bit, in FSX there are two files, dll.xml and exe.xml in your user appdata (same place as fsx.cfg). These files allow you specify the path to any dll or exe file so fsx doesn't assume to look in a specific "modules" subfolder. Those files also allow you to detrmine at start-up if you want a dll or exe loaded as an option, or to auto-start. scott s. .
July 12, 201213 yr You can create a modules folder in the FSX root folder easily and place all your required dll links in that folder. Fsx will work just fine.
