fsx reverse thrusters not working

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Just recently, when applying reverse thrust I get the rumbling sound and lights in the aircraft indicating the thrusters are engaged, but there is no change in any engine readings (N1, N2 EGT, EPR etc....) and a view from outside shows exhaust cones haven't moved. Nor does the planes stop more readily. This is true with addon planes as well as fsx default planes. I also have the same results pressing F2 as I do with my joystick setting.

I recalibrated my joy stick ( cyborgx) but to no avail. Anyone have any ideas.

Thanks,

Brian

Yea, but you are in the wrong forum. This is the MS Flight forum, not FSX.

Either way, i can't help you, because i have no idea.

newbie MORK, you just qualified to be a Senater or Repersenative in D.C. for you really don't know where you really are.

Bobr211,

This was moved here from the Flight forum. The OP posted this question there.

Make sure you have the slider all the way right in controls-engines-decrease rapidly(or whatever it is). I'm not on my flying pc so I can't state exactly.

Do they work using the F2 key? You must hold it down.

Even with the slider to the right, I have found that you must hit the assigned key several times to fully activate.

I found that my joystick calibration affects the reverse thrusters. I recalibrated and left my throttle just barely off the low-end stop and they work great on all planes (that are so equipped). As stated above, you must hold the F2 key down until they are fully engaged. Then hit F1 once to release the thrusters.
