July 16, 201213 yr At least at Laminar Research's X-Plane homepage, the price of XP10 is currently $69.99, down $10 from it's starting point. The Aerosoft store hasn't yet followed suit, but perhaps soon they will. This price drop and the improvements reported in the scenery world as part of the 10.10 update were enough to push me over the edge. Order has been placed. God help you all, because I'm going from being a curmudgeonly potential customer, to a curmudgeonly owner of XP10. Lets see what this baby can do. -Greg (*Apologies if this was noted elsewhere already)
July 17, 201213 yr Welcome Greg! Always welcome to pop in if you need help. Make sure you use the online installer, not the DVD one. Simmo W, Melbourne, Ozhttp://www.youtube.com/user/id5556
July 17, 201213 yr Make sure you use the online installer, not the DVD one. They periodically press new versions. I believe the current shipping version is 10.05b1
July 17, 201213 yr Welcome aboard Greg, there will be issues for sure but as it is continually moving forward with more users stepping up to the plate the future for Xplane is looking bright. Regards

July 17, 201213 yr LOL... The Blade Element Side of the Force. "Society has become so fake that the truth actually bothers people".
July 17, 201213 yr Author Now I'll have the ability to provide far more educated and experienced whines, rants, and complaints! -Greg
July 17, 201213 yr LOL... The Blade Element Side of the Force. Of course, in the end, Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader), realises the hype, and returns to the good side...
July 17, 201213 yr Yes but only after murdering millions of innocent flight simmers :-) Ha, I would have cast the Evil Empire of Microsoft in that role! Or is MS Flight the real Darth, half-machine, disfigured yet somehow alluring. Plus he doesn't need cockpits, he uses the Force.. Simmo W, Melbourne, Ozhttp://www.youtube.com/user/id5556
July 17, 201213 yr Hopefully this gets more folks to buy the sim and see what people have been talking about. July 17, 201213 yr No, MS is the dark side, luring us in for all these years, just to say "ha, screw you all, we're going to give you hawaii only, then a bit of alaska...and you can all SUCK on it with 3 little planes that have no cockpits and are meant to be flown 3rd person view" while LR is out there saying "stick with us, we'll get you what you want, you just can't have it all at one time...but have patience young one. Temptation leads you to the dark side of the force...and once down that path, it's difficult to turn back, but if you look at what you have, you soon realize how having a lot with little quality isn't nearly as important as the few important things with high quality."
