Another Airport Released for FS9

Featured Replies

But even a discount for owners of a previous version would be welcomed...

Ian you are mistaken. Gary DOES offer a discount, 30%, for upgrading existing scenery. Look at the left column. Beware ... you must be logged in to your account first, as Gary explains.

Happy shopping!

OK, I didn't think Rob may have an earlier version. But the new one is so great that it is worth every penny.

Especially that, like Appliance mentioned above, there is a ~30% discount for the version upgrade, both at UK2000....

.... and Simmarket...

That's how I did it (with both Gatwick and Heathrow). So, highly recommended!

I am very glad I was wrong - I will be going to my account with UK2000 and upgrading, as Gatwick is a fascinating airport... Thanks guys..

On the topic of AES support, although the huge new AES upgrade to 2.24 is scheduled to happen soon, if you download the current version of 2.23 you will find two excellent freeware airports have already been added ---- SunSkyJet KPHL and DREZWIECKI DESIGN LHPP... Lots more to come with the upcoming version but already here are two new ones

Cheers

Aerosoft just released Fairbanks. Unfortunately, it is only the FSX version. The FS9 one is not yet available. But it's COMING!!!

Hi folks,

D/L Aerosofts Yekaterinburg and decided I needed some Russian scenery to go with it. Visited AVSIMRUS and D/l some of their offerings. UUDD took some sorting but finally got it to work. The point of this post though, is to mention this offering of UKBB Kiev/Kyiv to be found at http://interskystudio.info/ukbb2012_fs9. Freeware, but donations accepted and at first sight , warranted.

Regards JohnT

The freeware scenery offerings of avsimrus / avsim.su are - spoken with one word - unbelievable. With these sceneries you can cover the area of the whole former Soviet Union, from Belarus to Kamchatka, and from Tchelyuskin cape to Tajikistan. Quality differs from scenery to scenery, but is very good on average.

I agree. The only other region I know of where there are numerous high quality freeware airports available is Thailand and the US. (Shez being the major contributor to the latter, but include Pellston, Glenn Falls and Meigs in the list)

If you expand the description of the "former Soviet Union" to include the former Warsaw Pact nations, the contrast with the rest of the world is startling. Hungary, Czech Republic, Armenia, Ukraine and others all offer top level, payware quality freeware... It used to be Italy and Greece, with ISDG and GAP leading the way, but those are dated now. Sceneries like LKPR, UKBB, UGEE, UNNT etc set a standard that is almost unmatched and exceeds many payware examples

Cheers

Ian
