I am flummoxed with this one. I have put the folder "OmWings_L1011_200" into the FS2004 Sound folder as noted above but all I hear are the default 737 sounds, which is to be expected since the sound folder in the L1011 is aliased to the 737-400 sounds, how can it pick up the L1011 sounds in the omWings folder? I have also tried putting the contents of the "OmWings_L1011_200" folder into the L1011 sound folder but the sim crashes with this.Any comments pls?NigelVancouver

I dunno, but it's nice to see payware go freeware as opposed to the usual other way around.

Hi,Does any (extremely) kind german-speaking fellow care to translate from German to English the 13 pdf files that are inside the zip "Manual L1011-200.zip" that comes with this panel??I am sure many simmers would be very, very grateful!!Thanks (in advance!) Edmundo

Has anyone managed to work out how to enter data into the FMS and enable auto flight (FMS)?

John

i did not get how to use the fms thingy...i'll try to install the civa unit,if it doesn't have a custom autopilot it should work no?it is an amazing panel,i'll do plenty of hours in it.cheers

This is indeed a very incredible panel .. at first glance comparable with Espen's F-50, Oleksiy's Dash, Stellan's DC9 and many more fine quality payware panels. Truly amazing.Does anyone know if there is a support forum? I have poked around the L1011 site and have not seen one or maybe I missed it.For those of us who are not German speakers, the documentation referenced above is complete .. although I'm not sure if the software follows it 100% ... but it is certainly complete for an AOM covering all systems and procedures.I am at the point where I have seen the following and know I am just doing something wrong.1. Battery switch stays stationary, but clicks, appears to apply power, but stays in off position. I have read some of the AOM regarding electrics and don;t seenm to get readings on the meters when at the BAT setting. DC bus does not seem to get powered or I am missing how to do that. Back to school for me!!!!2. APU seems to start, get turbine rotation, egt ... but can't seem to power the busses when pressing the button which is supposed to connect the APU gen to the electrical bus. I have gotten this far.3. Cannot activate any of the fuel pumps .. push buttons do not appear to work, or I am definitely doing something incorrectly. That's as far as I have got in an hour or trying. This is one complicated piece of software ... having prepared the doc for the RFP 742 . and tested for months, I know and understand the complications of pre-all-electronic aircraft and their systems ... amazing to me how every thing worked so well.I was a passenger on Delta L1011's many times back and forth across the US ... awesome aircraft.Well, I hope one of you has had some sucess and can shed some light on this issue. Thanks,

Thanks Fred ... It's nice to know I am not totally off my rocker ...Fine piece of software though!!!!Hopefuly someone will have a forum for this great aircraft.

Can one of you guys provide a link and directions on where to download this? I went to the link above but cant for the life of me figure out where the download is. Thanks.Hornit

Pity, I was hoping for L1011 sounds for FS2004 but it is a really great panel and I thank omWings for their generosity. Thx John for your reply, I had been using Matt Ukena's sounds for FS2000 but they didn't work too well, a lot of pulsating or throbbing in cockpit view. So this compelled me to try another search and I came across another L1011 sound for FS2000 by Ryuji Ozawa, and my first impressions on these sounds are very favourable - quite a big download, though, 16MB in two files.NigelVancouver
