i thought i use this topic to list / report another "frustration" i have ... on the ngx my only experience in mce.

every landing & even during the landing roll, straight after i ask for flaps retraction & it is acknowledged, my co-pilot says "we need to meet" & requires a "yes" to which he further replies.

now this 5 second interlude is not only unnecessary .... given we have known each other for almost a year now ... it is interferring with other subsequent commands one needs to make such as lighting switches, strobes off etc.

someone please tell me how to "stop / eliminate" this call.

for now, cheers

Strange. Do you advise the F/O what the destination aerodrome is? Or load an FSX flight plan for ATC? I am just trying to think, if the F/O is not registering you arrived at destination?

Might be worth asking support what the triggers are for the "we have to meet" response from the First Officer?

thanks for your notes ... though interesting they infer you (& others ??) have not even heard such an FO request.

to add, i use mce commands only & "fly" the ngx mostly in V/S and / or VNAV on approaches, and both with MCPSPD. so to answer. i never advise / am asked by the FO the destination nor do i file an FSX plan with anyone !!

for me the trigger is always a flaps zero call at / towards the end of the landing roll !!

i have & will continue to "take this frustration" without too much fuss... though i am curious why no one else has yet had the same experience ??

for now, cheers

It is possible the flaps up call is the trigger for something else. At any time, before top of descent, try telling the F/O "We're going to YBCG" or whatever the destination may be, in a four letter ICAO format, reading every letter, for example Yankee Bravo Charlie Golf and see if that makes a difference.

Or maybe try sending an email to Support and ask them what triggers this request, is it asking to retract flaps with this particular command? Or not telling a destination? Or disabling spoilers first? There could be a lot of variables.

And to be fair, I do recall hearing it once but never heard it again, and I can't remember what I was doing at the time, really sorry I can't be of more help, but I am sure the guys in Support can give you the answers you seek

Best,

Will

I believe you've been replied to via e-mail.

Are you still hearing the same prompt after updating to the latest?

Thanks

I believe you've been replied to via e-mail.
