August 24, 201213 yr Not a current statement it seems. The export works fine since months Ah well it's been over a year since I tried the product, so that functionality was just recently added then. I still prefer FSBuild due to the fuel planning I get from it. But anyway....enough of hi jacking the thread for me. :D AJ Pongress

August 24, 201213 yr Author Well, its been a little over 2 days since I got this bird and its now favorite "some programming required" plane just beating the Eaglesoft CX 2.0. Not being a fan of tubeliners, that's pretty big. I've done a couple of fights now where I've managed to mirror the behavior of the tutorial flights in everything except the actual route so I think I've come to grips with the basics of the FMS and the procedures needed for takeoff and landing. The challenge now is to get comfortable understanding the STAR and to a lesser extent, the SID diagrams to plan my departures and arrivals but that'll come with practice. All in all, this is on of the better purchases I've made for FSX and I think I can now say its worth every penny. August 26, 201213 yr Commercial Member My biggest issue with this add-on, funny enough, is not with the add-on but with trying to figure out how to enter routes it will accept without any problems. Check out this page: http://flightaware.c...tics/ifr-route/ That'll show you the actual routes being used by real aircraft between any two airports (if there are any). Example: KPHX-KDEN http://flightaware.c...estination=KDEN SILOW1 RSK HBU POWDR7 and SILOW1 RSK LARKS6 are by far the two most common ones - it changes day to day due to the landing runways at KDEN. The POWDR7 is a bit further north than the LARKS6 is and they use it when landing to the south because it better positions the aircraft for final with less manual vectoring required from ATC. You can take those routes and then use the system of decoding and entering them into the FMC that I demonstrate in the tutorials. In the flightplan notation I prefer, they're SILOW1.RSK..HBU.POWDR7 and SILOW1.RSK.LARKS6 (I like this notation better because it really clearly shows what's a series of connected procedures or airways (one dot) and what's direct (two dots)) Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

I've been applying the methodology in the tutorials to the flights I've been executing and that methodology also helped with another add-on I have with an FMS as well. The more flights I do on different routes is the more I get comfortable with this process so thanks to you and the PMDG team for those well-written manuals. I still haven't flown anything else since I got this bird btw so thanks for that  Now if I only knew when the 777 was coming out.... August 26, 201213 yr Not to steal your discovery thunder but I made my first flight without autopilot or autothrottle the other day. A short TEC route on PilotEdge (which I seriously recommend), but I had a lot to do... frequency changes, DP, enroute ,STAR, plus I flew an approach - all by hand. I understand a lot of people like to hand fly but I've got serious issues with trim (can never figure out what's wrong with my hardware) so I was a little nervous, but the thing really hand flies like a champ! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

No worries. I have done my fair share of flying it by hand as well and it handles quite nicely and trims almost as easily as my Turbine Duke and the CX 2.0. Doesn't glide as nicely as the CX 2.0 though (don't ask). Chris Magnus HR Manager Air Jamaica Virtual Airlines and Cargo (http://www.airjamaicavirtualairlinesandcargo.org)
August 26, 201213 yr Commercial Member Today I had probably my most realistic feeling airliner flying experience ever during my long FSX career... Flew from Havana to Santiago De Cuba with 737NGX, in Havana it was raining, some fog and great REX clouds that had all really beautiful colors with as sun was rising at that time and I used ENB series. Also Active Sky gave some amount of winds with variance and 737NGX reacted to them really nicely and I got feeling of flying when climbing out through these beautiful looking clouds with minor turbulence. Really love it.
August 28, 201213 yr Author I've done a couple of flights from Jamaica to Fort Lauderdale as well as around the continental US and I'm not quite sure what to think. Of all the planes I have that use an FMS, this is, by a far far way, the easiest to work with. Programming is quite easy and intuitive and I've gotten the process down to about 10 minutes once the plane is started to getting in the air. Its a little anti-climatic if I'm honest as I thought it would be more difficult to understand than, say, my CX 2.0. I'm really looking forward to the tripple 7.
