August 23, 201213 yr Folks, Is anyone aware of any flight sim related organizations that may be looking for some computer hardware? I have the following, and would like to donate it to a worthy flight sim cause: ASUS P8Z68-V Pro/Gen 3 Mobo with Intel i7 2600K proc @ 3.4Ghz 8GB RipJaws-X DDR-3 - 2133 EVGA 470GTX 1TB Hard Drive Again, looking to give this stuff to a truly worthy organization that has done alot to enhance the hobby, with asking little in return. I only ask that the organization pay for shipping, which shouldn't be too much. PM me, or post a note to this thread. I'm leaving on a 4 day trip, but will be checking the forum as I can. I will look at the suggestions, narrow the lost to 3, and then ask for input. MODS - If there is a better location for this thread, please feel free to move it. I only frequent the PMDG forum, so not sure what else is out there. Thanks! August 28, 201213 yr In the past I have donated to local Air Cadets. I gave them my old CH Yoke and Pedals. My suggestion is to find out what Air Cadets or similar organization their is near you. Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me

September 9, 201213 yr This sounds like a good idea re: the charities. Let's see what Tom says. September 9, 201213 yr The only thing we need as an organization are computers for our server farm. Unfortunately, that is all rack mounted stuff. In order for us to use a desktop, we would have to find some desk space in our NOC, and that will most likely not happen. I agree with the suggestion to auction it off for whatever chartible organization may need it.
September 9, 201213 yr Nice rig to donate! Maybe try a local flight school? I'm seeing FSX used more and more as a quasi x-country "trainer". Unofficial and un-loggable, maybe, but a great teaching aid none the less. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
September 9, 201213 yr Hi: If you are still looking for someone to take the unit off your hands, my grandson is a member of 66 Challenger Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets. Their computers are even older than mine and I am sure they would appreciate receiving a better one. Whenever my grandson is over to the house he spends a good deal of time flying my flight sim.
