August 31, 201213 yr That..... wasn't.... Irish..... That's just our accent..... That was English she was speaking.... This is Irish: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_07-ApFV0w I've yet to try out First Class on the A380, heck I've yet to try out the A380. Looks like a real experience, but I think if I were to go on an A380 I'd take Singapore Airlines instead of EK, better product IMO, you get a proper cabin to yourself..... Regards, Rónán. August 31, 201213 yr Very cool video. Thanks for sharing. As for the Irish, I feel they have the most pleasing accent. I have several Irish friends and thank goodness they haven't lost theirs. They are a joy to converse with especially over a pint of Guiness. Thank you. August 31, 201213 yr The wife and I flew Singapore Airlines, economy class this summer, Frankfurt to Singapore, Singapore to Amsterdam in a 773ER. I must say that it was one of the most pleasant flight experiences we've ever had, a genuine pleasure. I'd forgotten that being a passenger on an airliner could be nice ;-) Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)

August 31, 201213 yr Irish-ish then :-) That's more like it... ^_^ BA only seem to speak English when they come out here in spite of most of the passengers being not english! Italy you mean? But surely that's due to the fact that their flight originates in England and all the crew are English no? I think typically safety announcements are played in both the language of the departure country and the destination country no? All our announcements are done through English, Irish and destination language if English isn't the primary language, so imagine the situation would be the same at BA, I wouldn't know though, only ever used them for flying from Britain to the US.... August 31, 201213 yr They are a joy to converse with especially over a pint of Guiness. There is an Irish pub called Paddy Coyne's close to my parents house. I love to go there and listen to the accents after they are a few Guinnesses in, especially when they are deep into a rant about something  Chris Miller
August 31, 201213 yr I think I like the Emirates A380 experience more than that of Singapore's personally. It would be amazing to have a shower and arrive at your destination feeling fresh especially if you arrive in the morning/midday. I also think that the cabin crew appear nicer or at least on the videos I have seen. Tim HeptinstallAirports I have been to: Doncaster Robin Hood Airport EGCN, East Midlands (EGNX), Manchester (EGCC), Tenerife South/Reina Sofia Airport (GCTS), Fuerteventura Airport (GCFV), New York John F Kennedy International Airport (KJFK)Aircraft I have travelled on: 737-800 (Thomson), 737-800WL (Thomson, Ryanair), 757-200 (Thomson, Thomas Cook), 757-200WL (Thomson, Thomas Cook, American Airlines), De Havilland Dragon Rapide (Classic Wings G-AIYR). So much for showering at FL390... I wonder if crews are allowed use them... As for CC, I supose it all depends on the individual day and who you get... Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.

August 31, 201213 yr Well I'll tell your long lost cousins that you are doing a great job! Hahahaha! ^_^ And you may tell them they're more than welcome to come visit the homeland anytime they like.... and to fly with us, that's very important, because, well, we're great... Always amazes me the amount of Irish Pubs spread across the Globe, any major city and they're there.... I know whenever we bring my Wifes parents away with us on holidays, the first thing my Father in Law wants to do is find the closest Irish pub, never understood it myself, always thought of it as a bit of a bus drivers holiday, that you've come 1,000's of miles around the globe to a foreign and exotic place, only to do what you do every 2nd Sunday and go to the pub... Oh well, they certainly spread the image around the world anyway, can't do us any harm.... Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
August 31, 201213 yr Haha! Some people have to have a little piece of home to feel comfortable where ever they are! Chris Miller

Regards, Ró. I highly doubt crew are allowed to use the shower. A quick Google puts the average water use of a 10 minute shower at 50-100 litres. No I think I once read that pax on EK are restricted to a 5 minute shower, so that's 25-50 litres. Are you as crew allowed to carry 25-50 kg of extra baggage for free? Because that's what using the shower would be equivalent too (apart from the water tank being of limited volume and the pax having priority). John-Alan Pascoe
