October 4, 201213 yr Author No worries Bill - input, both negative and positive in discussing a payware product is valuable and relevant to a thread like this. I was just concerned that as the thread seemed to be fading out, that someone in the future might find it and conclude from the last page of postings that the scenery wasn't very good. I don't have their original version so have no basis to make the comparison that you are able to make. It's very probable that someone who has the original would choose not to pay the cost of what may be only a relatively minor upgrade. If the folks at ImagineSim wanted my opinion, which they probably don't ^_^ , I would encourage them to put brand loyalty ahead of short term profits and make upgrades like that available to original purchasers free or at least very heavily discounted. I would say the same thing about the complaint regarding lack of product support - if that is something that occurs regularly it will hurt them in the long run. But I also have to say that after I wrote a "thank you" email to them for continuing to support FS9 when they first released KATL 2012, I got a prompt, friendly and interesting response. So maybe there's been some miscommunication regarding the support issue??? Cheers mate Ian
October 4, 201213 yr In the end I contacted Simmarket support and they eventually (took a gentle little push ^_^ ) put my problems through to Imaginesim. Hopefully this'll all be worked out soon and happiness will reign supreme through Atlanta. Cheers, SLuggy I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?
October 5, 201213 yr And I'm happy to report that happiness does indeed reign supreme throughout Atlanta. Looks like it was a dodgy download file, but due to the vagrancies of computers something would block any reinstall attempt of another copy of KATL. Fran from Imaginesim support supplied me with a special version of the file after many emails to and fro which sorted out all the dramas. And KATL V2 DOES look great! So if you're reading this Fran from Imaginesim, a big THANK YOU from me! Cheers, SLuggy I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?
October 6, 201213 yr Ian, I actually received an email that said they aren't planning any corrections to the KDEN scenery, as they had too many other projects. Look, Imaginesim makes beautiful sceneries. I have several. I'm just disappointed that they can't fix a nice scenery like KDEN. I would expect a reply that states, "thank you for pointing out the error, it will be fixed soon. It's a bad error that has gone ignored for too long, yet they are still selling the scenery at full price. Now, as for KATL, I'm happy that people are pleased with the results. Like I said, they make very nice sceneries. Todd Curiously, they appear to contradict this on their website as when you click "future projects" you will find the following statement: Next up will be the FSX version of KATL Atlanta, due October. Then we are re-visiting all of our airports to address all of the niggles, bugs and issues that have been reported these last six months. After that we're planning further new versions of our older airports. So it appears their is still some hope that they will correct the problems you identified with KDEN and also produce improved versions of their legacy airports including a much requested KEWR update! October 7, 201213 yr Bill, That's good to know. I do wish they would have said the same thing in their reply to me.
