Seaplane bases in Flight

Featured Replies

There are 138 (+-) seaplane bases in the Alaska Pack. From these ones I have checked out so far, there are no Jobs listed for any of them. Also, because there are no markings, it is very difficult to actually land, or do touch and goes, on the runways. I've used the clunky method of taking off first, and then trying to land on the same spot, but that is hit and miss also. If anyone has a more reliable method for landing on the seaplane runways, please let us know. I wonder if MS ever had a plan to develop these 138 seaplane bases, and planes, and jobs for them to do?

Hi,

Interesting post. I did a little investigating using Honolulu Intl. as a test. The Icon moving map displays the water runways. Detail "0" seems best; least clutter. In the Cameras.cfg file "[CameraDefinition.010]" points to the various runways but not the water runways.

Just after the release of the Alaska DLC, I was checking jobs at some of the airports in the SE, and interestingly enough I saw a couple that required landing at a seaplane base. I only saw them once, however. I guess it was a glitch and got corrected quickly. I haven't tried to land at any though. Might have a go at it just for kicks.

Thank you.

Rick

I have tried to no avail!

The only seaplane jobs I can recall doing are the tutorial one with the Icon when you first start using Flight and the rescue job in Hawaii. Never seen any others. It`s a shame they never made more, especially in Alaska.
